The problem: El-Sayed publicly pledged in 2022 that he would never advertise health products to his audience. He also ripped Dr. Oz for doing the exact same thing, accusing him of being part of a "medical industrial complex that exists to sell you things that you don't need that are not actually based in any level of science."
Public records indicate El-Sayed never held a medical license or completed a residency — yet he repeatedly cited his doctor credentials in paid ad reads. His campaign did not respond to a request for comment.
