The winners — Darializa Avila Chevalier, Claire Valdez, and Brad Lander — represent a democratic socialist surge that Carville says he can no longer stomach.
“Lady, I ain’t in the same party as you,” Carville said of Chevalier, citing her past attacks on interracial relationships and the American flag. “I’m just not. And I actually do think it’s time for Democrats to talk the ‘S-word.’ Schism. I really do.” He went further, proposing the party negotiate an explicit split rather than pretend unity is still possible. “There’s just some shit that I can’t be in the same tent with,” he declared. “I’m done. And I’m not in that fxcking political party.”
Carville drew one bright line: he remains comfortable questioning Israeli government policies, but he refuses to share a party with anyone who denies Israel’s right to exist.
