  • A friend of ours brought back his translator coming home from Afghanistan. He lived with them and was well taken care of, educated, and today he is a very productive member of society, a real American working hard and raising a family. Bringing him here was the right thing to do, he would have been killed if he was left behind.
we need to be a compassionate, caring feeling, and giving people.......and I think we are!

That said, in this chaos created by the Biden regime, more afghans were rescued than Americans, afghans who did nothing to help us, and in fact may be coming here to hurt us, and we left Americans behind. While my heart goes out to any people on earth who suffer, our focus must be on our own people. They were betrayed by our government who cannot be trusted, our government is corrupt to the degree that they don't even pretend to care anymore. They spew crap they want us to hear that is contrary to the truth about what really happened in Afghanistan, but they betrayed America by everything they ever did there, Biden simply put the cherry on top!
Would a parent let go the hand of a child if the child's life depended on the parent not letting go?

Now the focus should be on those Americans who were left behind, and we need to think about our own women and girls (don't forget the little boys)........who are growing up without fathers, the mothers who lost sons and husbands,.and the those who are braindamaged, learning to make some sort of a life without arms and legs, etc.
Frankly, I don't give a damn what happens to Afghanistan in general, it is their problem to solve or to continue on as they have for thousands of years without evolving an inch. The change must come from within, by their own will or they will fall back to where they were each time....as we already see happening now.
We could have won this war within a few months against goatherds if we were there to win, if our kids were allowed to fight, but we were there so some can make huge money, gain power......it was about the deals!

  • Loyalty and Islamic doctrine require the faithful to submit to their brothers... they are not to make war on one another.  This of course is a lie but many of the timid and poor find no reason to cast off the Taliban.. they have NOTHING under the Kabul Administration and continue to have nothing under the Taliban... but at least they are not being shelled.  In other words they are forced to choose to live under tyranny or tyranny with the collateral damage of war.

The majority of Afghanistan is extremely poor and they rely on the Umma of Islam for their living... not the Afghan government in Kabul... Hence, they choose to submit to the terrible doctrine of Islam (Taliban Rule) over the problematic results of warfare on their merger existence..  they find the Taliban more appealing.  This may seem strange to Western Values .. but the entire Islamic system is one of hardship ... SUBMISSION to archaic Sharia Law.

Most Afghans subsist at the will of the Islamic Umma... charity.  Hence, they are willing to accept the rule of despots like the Taliban.   It is difficult to understand why the State Department or DOD doesn't understand this.

  • Why do you feel sorry for a people that refused to cast off 90K Taliban... the Afghan Military stood 300K Strong... giving them more than a 3 to 1 personnel advantage.   The Taliban are basically tibal gang members ill-equipped and poorly trained... the Afghan military had some of the world's best military equipment, armor, airpower, access to intel, and a supply of munitions.  in spite of having every advantage the Afghan people's military refused to stand their ground and defend their own.... they ran.  They deserted.

One can not give liberty to anyone... liberty must be taken and defended if it is to exist in any society.  After 20yr of training and several years of US warnings that we would be withdrawing the Afghan people were unwilling to stand against the Taliban... instead, they look for the EXIT marked America and left their own people... These ingrates are now in America looking for a handout instead of a hand up.  I say, Arm them and send them back and if they refuse to fight for their own liberty they can live under the Taliban.

Again, the Taliban are a MINORITY in Afghanistan... a significant minority... the Afghan people however are looking to the USA for a care package marked LIBERTY to be delivered annually.... this is no longer possible nor should the Afghan people expect to live freely if they refuse to defend their own liberty.
