Areas we need to fix, for us to control Government;
1. Term Limits
2. Budget
3. immigration
4. accountability/election integrity
We know the Founders realized that representatives were not to be lifetime posts, but the representatives quickly found out that they could stay in power and gain financially for as long as they wanted to without actually having to do any hard labor. They also realized they needed a political machine to maintain the necessary voting public numbers to stay in office. The only fault the Founders had was the fact they did not specify a firm set of limits. I believe it was because they had an innate sense of integrity and honesty they thought would make elected officials only want to go to Washington, do their jobs, then leave to get back into their normal business arenas. It has now become necessary for the people to use their highest power and impose term limits on the representatives since they won't do it themselves.
Next is the budget. It was under Clinton's administration the idea of a continuing resolution instead of a fixed budget was first foisted on the American Taxpayer. Since then there has been an average of 5 continuing resolutions to keep the government working every fiscal year. This lunacy needs to stop. The first Trillion dollar deficit occurred in 2009 and was $1.41 Trillion. The Democrats gained control of both houses of Congress in 2006. In 2005 the budget deficit was $318.6 Billion. This deficit marked a decrease from the previous year's record deficit of $412.1 billion. When Bill Clinton submitted his first Federal Budget in 1994 the deficit was at $203 Billion high but manageable. From then the Deficit's just kept growing. 2010 $1.429 Trillion, 2011 $1.48 Trillion, $1.1 Trillion marking the 4 straight year exceeding 1 Trillion Deficit 2012 $1.1 Trillion. During these years Democrats controlled both houses of Congress.
In 2013 the deficit was $0.07 Trillion 2014 $0.05 Trillion, 2015 $0.4 Trillion 2016 $0.04 Trillion, 2017 $0.07 Trillion. During that time both houses of the Congress was controlled by the Republican Party.
In 2018 Congress was split and Democrats controlled the purse strings. 2018 $0.08 Trillion, 2019 $1.0 Trillion, 2020 $4.0 Trillion, 2021 $2.8 Trillion and the Democrats again controlled both houses. 2022 $1.4 Trillion, 2023 $1.4 Trillion. They have been gradually increasing since then. It seems neither Party can control spending when all they have to do is enact a continuing resolution to keep the government funded. It has also become clear that using the Continuing resolution as a political weapon to get terms beneficial to the party refusing to compromise needs to be stopped too. The only way to do this is to have an amendment requiring a balanced budget submitted within 6 months before the start of a new fiscal year, and have penalties included that punish representatives who fail to do so. Punishments like fines, immediate recall and/or restricting them from running for office for 15 years.
Immigration is a dire concern, and with it is Birthright Citizenship.
Immigrants who sneak into our country just to have a baby that gains automatic citizenship and is an anchor to import their families must be stopped.
Current intelligence reports show Chinese women are being paid to become surrogate mothers and come to the US for a 'vacation' and have their babies qualifying those babies as natural born American Citizens then taking those babies back to China for many years indoctrination against America, and then have them return to the US and have full citizen rights, and especially voting rights and with them the political pressure they bring on the system, will be the death knell of Constitutional Freedoms and the downfall, of our system of government.
This multiplies the strategy of the Muslims who use multiple births as a means of taking over through a long term agenda that ends with their group taking majorities at the polls. Make no mistake, these two things are happening while you read this article.
The secondary way to help insure this does not happen, is to begin right now to create laws and safeguards to our elections systems including Verification through Govt Issued Picture ID similar to how the DMV works, and it can even be done through the DMV with proof of citizenship, like a birth certificate, Social Security Card, Proof of Residency, as is required in most States for a first time drivers license, and renewed with only a Proof of Residency like a home/mailing address Required, every time a drivers license needs to be renewed.
Most of what has been detailed above is the result of our Politicians having 250 years of not enough oversight by the pubic. Look through all the amendments and SCOTUS rulings and you will see a mish mash of political benefits for the politicians, with little to no accountability for their actions. I'll cite the one to me is the most damning of the Amendments benefiting political parties and doing nothing for the people. It's the 17th Amendment.
Originally the Senators were strictly representatives of the States in Congress. They were elected or appointed only by their State Legislatures, and were accountable to them alone. The Senators were never intended to represent the people. Their only job was to see their States got EQUAL REPRESENTATION in Congress. They served at the pleasure of their respective Legislatures. They could be replaced at any time by their Legislatures for not fulfilling their representation responsibility to their States.
Since the 17th Amendment was ratified, Senators while allegedly held responsible to the voters who elected them, have been held responsible only to their respective political parties and their parties agendas. This causes way too much political infighting, serving only the politicians party agendas, and ignoring the people who have elected them.
The corrective action to this mess is to repeal the 17th Amendment and return control of the Senators back to their originally intended role as States Representatives voting on measures that concern their State Legislatures concerns. Doing this works out the way the Founders intended the government to work. The people controlling Local and State governments, and Congress controlling the Federal government, all with the proper checks and balances on all their powers.
This can be done with States calling for an Article-V Amendment Convention since the Congress won't do it voluntarily.

President Trump has taken care of the budget deficit and immigration just like he promised. He just took care of election integrity with an executive order. Term limits are only a matter of time.
For term limits to remainm when tjhe Democrats get power again it will take an amendment tom keep,them from switching it.
