Excuse me? The Spanish Civil War was just prior to WWII, fought in Spain, with Franco the Dictator winning. Ever read "For Whom The Bell Tolls" by Hemingway? He was there. I stand corrected. Actually the Spanish AMERICAN war was fought in the Phillipines and ended two years before the centuries turn, where the US did annex the islands from Spain.
Having said that, your opinion of my comparison in individual civil violation to group struggle as a differance seems to have no value for you.

What else can one's act of civil war be called other than suicide... Civil War to be considered war must be waged by sovereign states, not individuals. Individuals acting out civil war are actually DOMESTIC TERRORIST or candidates for suicide.
As you know, I read your posts with interest Colonel, and am not wanting to interject myself between my more learned seniors while they deliberate. It pays to listen.
This stated notion of Civil war as a struggle waged between Soveriegn states, but not individuals, caught my eye. Pragmatically, the waged effort has to be made by organized individuals for efficiencies purpose of effect, but I can't say for identities sake, that it is exclusively waged by Sovereign states alone. My very reason is in the on-line Merriam Webster definition:

While it can be argued that the Spanish civil war of Teddy Roosevelt was a war between the USA and Spain in the Phillipine Islands (which validates the Sovereign states idea), My mind reaches to the Spanish Civil war of the Twentieth century, waged in Spain itself. Since no state of "Repubican" or "Partisan" existed then, is it by definition a civil war? I realize that Nation states and volunteers were in play, supporting the two groups, but the struggle is not identified as a struggle between non-spaniards, and as anything other than supportive (National Socialist Luftwaffe live field exercises not withstanding).
It catches the eye. A house thief "has not", does not wage a civil war of materialism against those "that have", but is known as an invasive opportunist who would commandeer (frankly steal). At what point does the relative identity perspective of "One mans patriot, is another mans traitor" not apply, and becomes something more distinct?

The point I wished to make is that individuals acting out civil war are considered Domestic Terrorists while states (California and New York) engaged in revolt against the federal government would warrant the title Civil War in our situation. Antifa or BLM attacking the Federal Government would be insurrection and Texas throwing out the federal troops in her state would be an act of civil war.
None of the private militias have the sanction of their local or state governments they would be considered Domestic Terrorist groups who are engaging in insurrection. These distinctions are important when it comes to the laws of war and to identify civil war from terrorism. A general uprising by the citizens of a nation can be considered a civil war if it is organized and found to be nationwide. Criminal charges and certain types of legal processes attach to such definitions. It is therefore a good idea to know the difference between Civil War and forms of Terrorism.
An individual engaged in attacking the government for any reason would not be a civil war... it would be treated as domestic terrorism and a foolish act of suicide. You and your neighbors engaged in violence aimed at bringing down the federal government would be insurrection or domestic terrorism.. not a civil war.

For all those who bluff and buster with anticipation of the confrontation in Civil War, remember back to those events in your life when such as a "Gathering around a Lake, laying on lawns, watching the 4th of JulyFireworks, when an isolated tree in your midst burst into flame. Remember then how many among the crowd ran away and how few ran towards the Fire. Out of 100, usually 6 will run to the Flames. It is no different when gunfire erupts around a group of untrained individuals. It is just Human Nature. The ratio always remains the same in any emergency situation. The suggestion is, " Try all options, several times."

Try removing the focus of your attention from all things connected with the Covid Virus. The World Health Organization declared it a Pandemic when it reached a Mortality Rate of .002. In the United States it remains .002. And that is in combination with contributing factors of Heart Disease, Obesity and Diabetes. Get bored with it. Change the subject when others talk about it, or walk away. Just stop buying in. Go on "Strike against the very thought, mention or idea of it!" Threaten your Newspaper, Radio and Television to cancel if they continue to focus attention on Covid. Their "Advertisers" care. Attack from a New Direction.
