So, when grandma is the one stuck with raising baby mama's and baby daddy's little dastards, who you gonna charge, grandma who's already trying to do the right thing? Charging the parents is a good idea, but I don't think the solution is as clear cut as that, but it's a start. Not that anyone asked, but I'm of the opinion that a primary underlying cause of many of our problems is the eradication of anything to do with God from government, especially our schools, has created a generations of people who operate with a moral compass dictated not by Judeo-Christian principles but by their own sense of morality as influenced by social media, peers, and hormones. Being a practicing Jew or Christian may not be fashionable but you won't find our jails full of us either. Most of the Christians in jail became Christians after their incarceration. We've perverted our interpretation of the Constitution to include separation of Church and State when the Constitution specifically says no such thing, Rather, it dictates freedom of religion, not from religion. Of course, all of this starts with parents and guardians doing their jobs. Another step to be taken is that of holding the little dastards responsible for their actions early on. The juvenile court system is a revolving door with kids committin multiple offences before any meaningful punishment is administered. By then it's too late.

Legalize and encourage Concealed Carry with no Prosecution for Self Defense or Defense of other Innocents and most of these crimes would stop. IMHO
