In the tiny Delta town of Benoit (population under 400), Mayor Linda Carter recently appointed Assma A. Ali - a very controversial hijab-wearing “immigration” attorney as municipal court judge.

Now a new question has emerged about the mayor herself.
Public records reportedly show Mayor Carter claims a homestead exemption on a home in Wynne, Arkansas.
Arkansas voter registration lists her at a Wynne address. Available records tie her recent activity to Arkansas, with only a P.O. Box linked to Benoit.
Mississippi law requires a mayor to be a qualified elector who actually resides in the town.
🚨 If she does not live in Benoit, she is ineligible to serve as mayor and the appointment of Assma A. Ali could be legally invalid.
Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson is the official looking into this.
He has publicly confirmed his office is reviewing the voter registration issue, stating: “We’re doing our homework.”
