  • Yes, they are that stupid. And stupid means dangerous. BTW, how does one "solve" world peace? Let's ask that one of Beijing Biden and see how much he froths at the mouth.

  • Great idea Ron! Fire the Waste Products into the Sun! That particular idea was abandoned decades ago when the realization that "Perfect Rocket Launches" could never be guaranteed. Hence the repeat of "Nuclear Waste circling the Earth, falling to its Surface and destroying " Life!"

    • BS... More greenie weenie misinformation...

America launches missiles into space carrying all sorts of hazardous materials onboard... Every time an armed B-52 takes off it is loaded with live nuclear weapons posing a potential risk for a nuclear accident.  Each time a nuclear submarine goes on patrol with armed ICBMS on board, there is a risk of a nuclear accident. Firing nuclear waste into the sun would require one or two shots a year and the nuclear waste hardly constitute the same risk live nuclear weapons or a meltdown on a nuclear-powered naval vessel.

By the way, did you ever consider who is making all the money by keeping oil, coal, and natural gas as our primary sources of energy... what would happen to their profits if suddenly CLEAN NUCLEAR power supplied 70% of our electricity as it does in France. I'll tell you... they would go bankrupt or lose so much of their revenue stream that their FASCIST activities would end... abruptly....\. Think about that for a while...

America and the world can have abundant CHEAP energy without the problems of pollution associated with fossil fuels. We can have cheap gasoline and cut commercial transportation expenses dramatically... passing on the savings to the consumer. Big Energy is funding Green Peace and the Sierra Club, two of the largest environmental groups in the world...Big energy is working 'stealthily'  to keep nuclear power off-grid and oil production capped at the lowest production rates possible.  Why would they do that ... Think man, think. With Cheap abundant nuclear power, what would ha[[en to the BIG ENERGY COMPANY's investment in oil production and refined products?  What would happen to the funds these companies use to keep the public under their thumbs?

  • B.S.  But that is generally what we hear from the Biden administration.

  • And all Nuclear Power Plants have "Waste Products" in the way of materials that have "Radio Half Lives" of thousands of years. There will reach a moment in time where there will be no guaranteed safe confinement storage facilities on Earth. Combine this fact with the Fact we have yet to achieve 100% Rocket Launch Efficiency. Imagine Nuclear Waste encircling Our Earth and slowly falling to its surface slowly poisoning all life. The problem with people who solve immediate issues without considering the long term consequences is we end up with areas such as the "Salton Sea."

    • Lynn...

The French produce 70% of their domestic electricity from Nuclear... they have no problems with nuclear waste as there is very little using current reprocessing technologies to recover and reuse spent nuclear power rods... you are way behind the technology.  Solar power is not clean technology... the lithium needed for batteries is deadly and requires expensive processing and disposal of its waste... disposal that is currently grossly inadequate and is poisoning our water and air quality.  Environmentalists often ignore the serious problems associated with current SO-CALLED GREEN TECHNOLOGIES... most have life cycles that create greater problems environmentally than current CARBON-based systems.

    • Ignorance begets more of the same...

First, the waste products generated in the maintenance of nuclear power plants can be fired into the sun... with our current missile technology.  Fuel rods can now be reprocessed in a Breeder Reactor.  Thus, ending most of the spent rod problems.  Those fuel rods unable to be reprocessed can be fired into the sun.  More people die from producing Lithium-ion batteries than from nuclear accidents or exposure from their operation.

Nuclear power technologies continue to develop even safer and more efficient use of their fuel.  Nuclear power emits no radioactive gases during normal operation and has no environmental impact on the air we breath or the water we drink... unlike the mining, production, and life cycle of lithium-ion batteries... required for solar systems.

Nuclear power can operate 24/7 in any of the environments of the world... providing reliable electric power night and day, rain or shine... Solar can not.  With the new ability to recycle fuel rods, nuclear power can be considered renewable energy...

  • then let's put solar paneling on all homes in chicago. this might end the drive bys

  • Another brainwashwed liberal spewing nonsense. We really need to stop and/or reverse this brainwashing. Set up American patriotism camps and re-educate stupid liberals. That's the only way to maintain the American way of life with liberty and freedom for all.

  • I would suggest the President and Cabinet hold their August Meeting in Death Valley, without shade. Their December Meeting in Barrow, Alaska, outside in the 24/7 Darkness without lights. As with the Worlds' Agriculture being limited to 20% of its Land Area, so is the Useful Area for Solar Conversion to Electricity.
