The difference is they were under military rule for a long time supporting the communists.
I was in Venezuela back in the 80s, it was already then in really bad shape, our group was warned not to separate even for a second or you could be kidnapped, right there in the capital, in daylight, with people all over.
It seems like the liberals are trying to rename everything in the world to what they think it shoud be called.
Changing the meaning to fit their agenda. They want to make it sound clever, brilliant by giving it different meaning.
