Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) brought her articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden as a privileged motion Tuesday, fast-tracking her resolution past a similar one introduced by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) last month.
The two Republican members of Congress stated their basis for impeachment was Biden's handling of the southern border, but neither has co-sponsored the other's articles of impeachment. Here is a look at the two sets of articles of impeachment against Biden, and why Boebert elected to file articles of impeachment after Greene had already filed a similar resolution.
Greene's articles of impeachment were filed last month as part of the congresswoman's "impeachment week," when she filed articles of impeachment against various Biden administration officials, including Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Attorney General Merrick Garland, and Biden, among others.
The basis for Greene's articles of impeachment against Biden relies on his handling of border security. In the articles, introduced in the House on May 18, Greene alleges that Biden has "willfully refused to maintain operational control of the border.

The House voted to pass a rule sending the resolution offered by Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado to committee, effectively pausing a move to bring a privileged motion to the floor that would have forced members to vote on whether to impeach President Joe Biden indefinitely. Can anyone say BETRAYAL McCarthy... another is a long line of rotten betrayals. The rule was passed along party lines... delaying any vote on the Articles ... evidently McCarthy thinks Biden and company are doing just fine... take this act and the Budget/debt ceiling and McCarthy would make a great card-carrying Democrat.
Boebert’s resolution had divided House Republicans, with many members expressing frustration with the conservative congresswoman’s push to force a vote on the politically contentious issue. Speaker Kevin McCarthy urged his GOP conference to vote against the resolution. Evidently, McCarthy approves of allowing criminals and traiters to run the government I wonder why?
Boebert said she pushed the vote to force her colleagues “to make tough decisions.”... God forbid the GOP would vote for the Party's planks.
A number of House Republicans have filed articles of impeachment against Biden since the party took the House majority, but Boebert made a specific procedural move on Tuesday that would force the chamber to vote on the impeachment of Biden this week. Some House Republicans have raised concerns about their right-wing colleagues using procedural methods to bypass the committee process and force votes on the floor, particularly after they had harped on Congress returning to regular order as part of their demands in exchange for electing McCarthy as speaker earlier this year. It appears we have lost the GOP... that they have gone rogue... lying and dissimilating to cover their sellout. I thought I'd never see such a day... treason on a wholesale basis in the GOP. We expect this crap from the Democrats but not the GOP... we need a new party. Any hope of getting reform out of the GOP Is a hoax. The time is here for Pres. Trump to LEAVE THE GOP and take his 81 million voters with him ... He has time to register a new party in all 50 states, DC, and territories that have a vote for President. He would be much better off as the advice he is getting is horrible.
Establish a new party with a TOTALLY NEW SLATE OF CANDIDATES... Fire the entire government standing for reelection and start anew... The Congress, Executive, and Judicial Branches are all lost to the Marxists. It is to difficult to sort out which if any of the current members of the government are worth saving... it is easier for Trump and new blood to form and register a new party in every state, district, and territory... and then vote ONLY for all of its candidates. Throw out every member of the sitting government and then go after the criminals with a vengeance... hang the traitors.
