Bizarre Twist In Flynn’s Case: ‘Covington and Burling’ Will Enter Case At Judge’s Invitation

In another strange turn of events, Judge Emmet G. Sullivan has invited Michael Flynn’s former defense counsel to appear as interested parties in their former clients ongoing case. Sullivan, who did not agree to drop the charges against Flynn as requested by the Department of Justice, did not specify the purpose for inviting the former lawyers to appear in court.

John Hall electronically filed the notice on Thursday, as the legal representative for Covington and Burling, Flynn’s former defense counsel.

Sidney Powell, Flynn’s defense counsel, didn’t comment on Sullivan’s invitation to Covington and Burling but she noted in previous filings reported on this news site that the previous counsel provided her client ineffectual representation and unrepresented him in his guilty plea, which was in violation of his 6th Amendment rights.

This turn of events has been just one in a series of bizarre decisions unleashed on Flynn and his defense team by Sullivan. Critics of Sullivan’s strange behavior have accused the judge of acting as a prosecutor and crossing the line of his judicial mandate.

      I agree that there's much we don't know about the virus' origins. However, I haven't seen any reliable information saying Dr. Bavari is part of a sinister plot. That doesn't mean he's not.

       

      Also, you're right to say the liberal MSM won't tell us the truth. They'd rather parrot Communist China.

       

      As I understand it, George Webb claims the novel coronavirus was manufactured in a US military lab at Ft. Detrick and brought to China by "diplomatic driver" Maatje Benassi, a 52-year-old racing cyclist who was in Wuhan in October to take part in the Military World Games.

       

      A Chinese state-run newspaper has been accused of spreading an unfounded conspiracy theory that a US military cyclist was the source of the novel coronavirus outbreak. In March, the newspaper urged the US to “release health and infection information of the US military delegation which came to Wuhan for the Military World Games in October.” The newspaper claimed this would “end the conjecture about US military personnel bringing COVID-19 to China.” The newspaper said it was responding to claims made by US “investigative journalist” George Webb.

      I'll admit I doubt the story that the virus was brought from the US to China. Yet listening to Mr. Webb, it seems he believes most of the plagues that have ravaged parts of the world over the last several decades, including COVID-19, were done through a US biowarfare plot to help certain pharmaceutical companies. Have I got that right?

       

      Perhaps I'm wrong, but I just don't believe that the US has been engaged in some diabolical Nazi like scheme of biowarfare against nations around the world.

       

      But as Civil War Union Gen. Carl Schurz, said, "My country, right or wrong; if right, to be kept right; and if wrong, to be set right."

      I suggest you reserve any further comment until you can review more of the contributing factors involved in this crisis. Perhaps, a few days of reflection. My wife says that does me wonders ?

      Marty, the internet definition of SCREAMING for well over a decade is posting in ALL CAPS. I find it hard to believe you don't know that. EMPHASIZING is important AND not SCREAMING. I use if QUITE often.

      Roberto, I have this gut feeling that you are truly interested in getting to the bottom of this but do not limit your solution set to a predisposed environment that has been created. Get into the real investigative environment that asks all the questions that just don't come the MSM
