British Pastor Arrested for Public Preaching
He’s been charged with “inciting religious hatred.” Fox News: A Christian pastor arrested in Bristol, England, in November on suspicion of “inciting religious hatred” after delivering a street sermon is still awaiting a decision on whether he will face criminal charges, according to a legal advocacy group supporting him. Pastor Dia Moodley, 58, was detained for eight hours and released on bail conditions that temporarily barred him from entering the city during the Christmas period (Fox News). Moodley is being represented by ADF International: ADF International is standing with him, providing legal support as he considers legal action against the police for violating his free speech rights. This is the second time police have arrested Pastor Dia for his street preaching. In March 2024, he was arrested after speaking about the differences between Christianity and Islam and spent 13 hours in a police cell. To make matters worse, police ordered the destruction of his preaching signs. Only after a formal complaint – made with the help of ADF International – did the police apologise(ADF).
