“This past year, we spent $9.6 billion on illegal immigrant health care —The media has actually been lying to people saying that no federal dollars goes to illegal. That is fundamentally wrong.”
“Then what most people don't realize are the games that they're playing because we expanded Medi-Cal access towards emergency departments. Emergency departments are actually backfilled and funded one for one dollars from the federal government.
So if an illegal immigrant uses the emergency room at all, they are bringing in federal dollars that are being spent on them.”
