Let’s start with the sale of Emory Elementary school by JeffCo school district to the City of Lakewood. Estimates for the property value are $9-12 million.

I’m gonna start posting wasteful and suspect government financial moves here in Colorado.

Let’s start with the sale of Emory Elementary school by JeffCo school district to the City of Lakewood. Estimates for the property value are $9-12 million.

The district is selling it for $4 MILLION. While staring down a budget deficit of $60 million dollars. Taxpayers didn’t even get to approve of their sale of their funded property at a massive loss.

Lakewood is then selling the building and 3 acres to a nonprofit for $1 million dollars.

What the heck happened here??
