Compromise is the mother of all evil... once, that door is opened it is very difficult to shut. Compromise leads downhill, never up. Esau was a pragmatist... he compromised his birthright to satisfy his hunger and played the fool with the local women, to appease his flesh.
With each act of compromise, the next becomes even easier; until one finds they have lost their way (foundation) completely. Compromise is not of God. God doesn't compromise with evil; with God, it is yeah or nay, black or white, and nothing between. Truth is a constant that never changes, it is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The Pragmatist is often required to ignore the truth in order to achieve agreement, something Christians should abhor knowing where it leads. It is the little foxes that destroy the fruit of the vine... the small compromises that eat away at the substance of a virtuous life.
Pragmatism is based on achieving practical results... worldly outcomes, that often appear to be the progressive thing to do for the moment. It is a philosophy that values action above maintaining one's principles. It often requires one to exchange their principles to achieve little. The consequences of pragmatic decisions, over time, erode the foundation of the righteous... Often leading to the ultimate devaluation of one's core values. The true pragmatist has no core values, nothing that can not be compromised, to achieve what they define as results.
"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful... the ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away." (Psalm 1:1 & 4) There can be no recompense with the unrighteous, no compromise with the Devil or his minions. Speaker Johnson may want to read the scriptures concerning whom he takes counsel with and what compromise does to his credibility and expectant outcomes in governing. Carrying a Bible around unopened is worse than facing an enemy unarmed. The Letter of God's Word lies dormant and dead on the page... it must be consumed, written on the fleshly tablets of one's heart written with the indelible ink of the Holy Spirit, to be effective ... too, come alive and potent... useful. His Word alive in man becomes an immutable force for good on the earth. However, very few have ever managed such a glorious transformation. Pray that the Word of God be revealed in all its glory to thee... pray it may become the dominant force in your life... then... all things profitable and necessary become possible...
Continuing Resolutions (CRs) are a way to fund programs we all want ended... LOOK FOR SPEAKER JOHNSON TO APPROVE AND PROMOTE EVERY CR THE DEMOCRATS PROMOTE... HE IS A GLOBALIST... One doesn't need a budget or to approve the 12 separate APPROPRIATIONS BILLS if they can do the same thing with a continuing resolution.

Trump's victory in the Iowa caucuses was monumental... yet, we continue to hear the RNC and GOP leaders challenge his candidacy. Trump must stop any further discussion of reconciliation as the leadership in the GOP are hardline Globalist... set against MAGA and Pres—Trump's candidacy. It is time for us all to stop supporting the RNC... by sending all of our GOP contributions directly to the candidates... as the Party no longer supports its base or party planks. .. The GOP and RNC have never seen a compromise so bad they could not support it...

Politicians claim, almost to a man or woman, that nothing ever gets done without compromise. That is what reaching across the aisle to their good friends on the other side is all about.
This explains why nothing good ever sees the light of day. Republicans compromise with the democrats while the Democrats ruin and rule the country. And we complain. And we demand. And our country goes to hell in a bucket.
Thanks for the reply... I am reminded that politicians boldly proclaim that the making of laws is like making sausage... messy... However, good legislation is not messy.... it is not messy to keep one's principles and avoid the need to jump into the gutter simply to pass a bill. Such legislation would be much better if it were not promoted... legislation for legislation's sake is simply counterproductive and more often than not problematic... the source of even greater problems.
