Conservatives slammed left-of-center gun control activist Matthew McConaughey following his performance at the White House Tuesday afternoon in which he tried to persuade the American people to give into the gun control measures that Democrats are trying to pass.
The remarks from McConaughey comes after the recent tragedy in Uvalde, Texas, which is McConaughey’s home town, where an 18-year-old Hispanic male murdered 19 children at Robb Elementary School. The attacker was able to obtain his weapons despite a history of violence toward people and animals.
“We need background checks,” McConaughey said, even though the Uvalde attacker passed a background check, “we need to raise the minimum age to purchase an AR-15 rifle to 21, we need a waiting period for those rifles, we need red flag laws and consequences for those who abuse them.”
McConaughey has a history of calling for extreme gun control measures, including supporting gun bans.

Apparently you’re understanding of the 2nd amendment has been distorted by the many years of indoctrination and the endless barrage of bullshit from the mainstream propaganda machine.
Just for your edification: The 2nd amendment makes no mention of hunting rights and it doesn’t even deal with the people’s right to protect their home against intruders.
Its purpose is to enable the citizens of America to protect themselves from people just like YOU.

Firearms are not the problem... criminals and radicalized individuals are the problems. DIsarming the law-abiding makes it easier for the armed criminal to commit such atrocities. Gun-free zones like public schools are easy targets for armed radials. They know our children and their teachers are unarmed and that law enforcement officers have been banned from carrying weapons into many of our public schools... setting them up as targets for radicalized nut cases.
Getting rid of firearms will not disarm the criminal element... Criminals will secure a weapon illegally... and with the assurances that the civil population is no longer armed, they will be encouraged to rampage thru society... murdering hundreds at will.

Fact: The local, state and federal Gun Laws in effect to detect or deter "mass shooters" actually worked as defined. Note: The buyers only became criminals after THEIR actions resulted in mass shootings! So, what law do you propose that will detect someone's future intent to do harm?
