  • Who knew government jobs were so lucrative! I always hear people saying "I work for the government making peanuts" much like teachers always crying the blues about money!

    • Are all such jobs paying equally?  Your sources?  What people?  What are their names and where do they work?  How much do peanuts cost these days?  I think how much they make is PERSONAL.  They probably did not take their positions knowing their salaries would be the object of your discussion.  I have heard no teacher complain about salary for quite a while.  Who said this? When?  Perhaps, when it comes to salaries of vast numbers of people, you should stay quiet.  I came on here to talk about corruption in government and you change the subject to attacking teachers. They do not set their salaries.  Go buy a hardware store and then, perhaps, you can mind your own business.  Never try to censor me again.  This is the USA and I will say as I please.  There is no such law that bans me or you from voicing our religious beliefs.  YOU have offended ME!  Give me liberty or give me death!

    • Then explain why so many are multimilionaires on $174,000.00 a year salaries. It's nothing BUT corruption.

    • I do not disagree with about corruption, DLR.  Here is a prime example of what you say.  There is an area in my childhood county that is middle-low class to upper low class economically, etc.  It borders an area that is middle class.  Ayoung boy went to his school and performed acceptably.  Desegregation hit.  His district was closed and he went to the fine school district of the middle-class area.  He then found a way to go to a fairly good law school which has produced some fine and very notable graduates.  He graduated with no plaudits and no money.  He went into politics.  Success.  His home was modest, but a foothold on life.  Today, 50+ years later, he lives on an exquisite road of multi-millionaires ten minutes from where I was raised.  The neighbor to his right is the most praised private school in the state (4-12).  Cost per year; $28,000.  Students arrive at school in cars that you and I cannot afford.  How did he get to be so incredibly rich?  Let's ask him!  Hey, Joe!  Tell me how you got so much money so quickly while we ride in your green Corvette.  The Biden estate, next to Tatnall School, on Barley Mill Road, Greenville, Wilmington, DE 19807.  Google the school.  Google map his home.  He is not alone on the federal level.  Many like him in the state level.  Yes, I could understand him having some money, but millions?  As you said, sir.  As you said.

  • The political corruption in OUR current government IS out of control and needs some serious adjustments. Born and raised in Pa. I left that state the day after my high school graduation for the military and when I finished there I moved to Florida and worked at a couple of Titanium mining operations after which I was transferred to a western state to work which turned out to be a boon to me. That job had me transferred multiple times around the country mainly back to the one state which we enjoy who doesn't play the political scams of 90% of this country. I've retired here and we won't leave this time.

    • What state is that, DLR?

    • Utah and I was transferred 3 times to several places around the country but I was lucky in that they kept returning me to Utah. I was a medical lab instruments products service rep at first but was promoted in 4 years to what they called comsultant where I traveled proflifcally around the country to help servcie reps with problems they couldn't solve and the third and last time back to Utah. My wife and I love it out here so retired here and STILL want to stay even after working med products for 30 years.

  • Unreal.

  • Doesn't surprise me in the least
