If he wasn’t New York’s governor, Andrew Cuomo says he would’ve punched President Donald Trump.

Cuomo participated in an hour-long interview on “The Howard Stern Show” Monday, criticizing Trump for calling his brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, “Fredo.” The “Cuomo Prime Time” host famously said the reference to Michael Corleone’s brother in “The Godfather” is “like the N-word” to Italians and Italian-Americans, and Gov. Cuomo defended his younger brother.

“The Mafia stereotype has been such a stain on Italians for so long, and that’s where they go,” Cuomo told Howard Stern.
 

“If I wasn’t governor of New York, I would have decked him. Period,” Cuomo said of Trump. “I mean he was attacking me, he was attacking my family, he was anti-Italian. Every nasty thing.”

The New York Daily News reports Cuomo told the SiriusXM radio host that Trump is "emotionally fragile” and “cannot take any criticism,” but he sought to be diplomatic during the height of the coronavirus pandemic. For example, when Trump got Covid-19, Cuomo sent him a care package that included Dinosaur Bar-B-Que and Buffalo wings.

    "PUNCHED TRUMP"???  But why?  Was it for Trump's refurbisning the Javits Center to save NY citizens, or was it for sending the USNS Comfort to save NY citizens?  Or was it all those ventilators and the PPE that Trump supplied- even though NY / Cuomo had already been warned years ago to start stockpiling for a likely pandemic???
