Inhibiting the enzyme DHODH not only prevents viral replication, but simultaneously prevents virus-induced cytokine storm, which is what actually kills people. It's a two-fer.
The Powers That Be do not want a pharmacologic (drug) cure for COVID, as it would both obviate vaccines and spoil the greatest wealth transfer in history. $$trillions are at stake for them.
In order to kill, COVID must (a) first invade human cells; (b) replicate within the cell; (c) induce a lethal, tissue-destroying "cytokine storm"; and (d) in some cases, asphyxiation and cyanosis via uncoupling mitochondrial electron transfer. The latter event (d), when it occurs, explains why respirators are of little help. It doesn't;t matter how much oxygen is forced into the blood; the cells cannot utilize oxygen when mitochondrial respiration is uncoupled.
COVID, in order to invade, replicate and induce cytokine storm ... is obligately dependent upon full, unhampered activity of a cellular enzyme, dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH), which is the first rate- limiting enzyme in a cellular process known as de novo pyrimidine biosynthesis. I have studied this enzyme since 1994, and published a peer-reviewed meta-analysis on its inhibition in 2014. If this enzyme is inhibited by a drug... the virus can do nothing to you. Nada.
Even if it mutates.
