Like Nazi Germany one either joined the Nazi Party or was excluded from significant community influence. Dealing with the Arab culture soon instructs one on the feudal hierarchy and the Arab culture that tolerates very little decent in policy, thought, or action. Talking with the wrong party can be disastrous. Unless this Doctor is part of Hamas's leadership his influence on their actions is more likely to result in his assassination than reform.
Failure to understand the Islamic culture is part of the problem Western leaders must overcome. Common sense and rational acts are often subject to irrational religious fervor and dictatorial insanity.
