June, That's possible, Pearson's is huge in publishing. What maybe needs to happen is asking for invite to local Boards of Ed, to discuss who is vetting each and every schoolbook.
I know in Montgomery Country, we have one devout Christian who has been on the Board of Montgomery, OH for years. Nothing would pass her by. But we need more people like her who are dedicated to that one thing. It's a servants' heart to do this. Otherwise, I think the only option is to search online for books, buy them, and go through them page by page for obvous or subversive moral stances and propaganda. Better to have a small group do this, I think. Lower grades would be easier.
Jeanine, I just read Richard's list of 10 publishers and number 9 was "Pearson"; I believe that is the company.
BINGO, Richard, number 9, on your list, is the one I was searching for; at one time, they were located on the east coast, but I don't know where they are located now. PEARSON is the name that was stuck in my head!
Jeanine, if memory serves me (sometimes it does 🤣), I don't think Texas "produces" the textbooks,; I believe the books are manufactured elsewhere and shipped to TX for analysis and distribution. Maybe that is what the book depository, in Dallas, is used for?? IDK - just a thought.
Thanks Jeanine; none of the names, on that list, struck a cord in my memory bank and I will read through it again. In the back of my mind, I see a name starting with letter "P" and think it was located somewhere on the east coast; the name "Pearson" keeps nagging me!
