Linda, like you I am old and both disgusted and dismayed at the state of the nation I grew up in and served. The brainwashing has gone so far that young people have no idea what they have lost!!!!!

The hardest part is being a vet and hearing your child say they want a social democracy which is what they have been brainwashed with since the Clinton Administration. (Lordy it kills my soul)
You have an advantage that socialists do not enjoy with your child. You are family and should a built-in credibility.
Browbeating and ultimatums will not work. Another mind is in play. What can you relate for your child to weigh, that reveals any errors.

Thankfully my kids and grandkids see things the way I do. My first wife's father was a 35 year veteran with 5 combat jumps in WWII. He died earlier this year at age 98. I wish I would have made it a career but didn'', much to my dismay later. My children were raised to love God, love country, and honor those who offer their lives in the military. Thankfully I didn't have to die to serve the country I love and appreciate so much. Those qualities are being carried on by my descendents though none of them have been in the military.
Waiting for leadership will not get this yoke of tyranny off our necks, We Are the Leaders we've been waiting for.
Stand up and say NO! Resistance and loud sustained complaint will bring leaders and organization out of the group as a direction becomes clear.

Those tha ave cheatd commited the fraud, have an interest in maintaining that fraud. If those that cheat cannot maintain their fraud, then that results in a discouragement from future fraud. But, it goes further than that. Once caught, if there is no penalty for trying to defraud, then why wouldn't they continue to try? If they win and fair weather Patriots allow the injustice to stand, then they win, with all that it implies. If they're caught and all that happens is that particular election is overturned, then all that means is that they need to try harder and be more corupt in the future.
Demanding justice is never a step backwards!
