  • Isn't it a Marvel where some see desolation others see opportunities. When I spoke of "Community Graveyards" of Chinese and such, those things existed by the choice of "Their Ancestors and Heritage" and none others. You dare insult me with comparisons to Communist Creators, this just prove exactly how very little attention paid and retained of my experience based entirely on Capitalism, and Never accepting a handout from public or private sources. No sir, I am not drunk on anything, most certainly not an inflated image of my own ego. The reality of this World's Histories is that "All People are Exploited one way or another!" You did that on a daily basis your entire career in the Military if you were to honestly look at it. It is called Life. In Capitalism exploitation is Rewarded! In Communism exploitation means You Do Not Die Right Now! I am a Thankful American because it means that I have "The Right To Try!"

  • That explains everything! You were raised in California. Only an idiot or a fool or a "Californicator" would dare call me a "Liberal." Even my friends in South Africa knew the difference when referring to Americans as "Yanks" and Californians as "Septics." Down there Tanks could associate with anyone and be accepted. Anyone associating with a Septic was "Shunned." I have been the "Only Whiteman" living in a vast area for long, extended periods. I survived. Others tried, they didn't. When I spoke of my Childhood memories of an area steeped in a long history of Minorities Labor in Gold Mining and the mining of The Main Supply of Coal from Seattle through San Francisco. The Gold played out, and the Coal was replaced with Hydroelectric, so the "Labor" was no longer a shared requirement, as Timber took over. The Federal Government with its Cost Plus Contracts for the Wood Products and Chrome, created a "Greed" among those deemed to valuable for War, and the greedy bastards killed rather than share. Every Town and City has Graveyards specific to the Chinese and Blacks, Masons and Jews, before the "Greed" took over. Travel sometime up around Zane Grey's area and witness the ghost towns of the Chinese and Blacks and Camps of the Indians. Its not a proud history, its just history. Its a history that my generation knew nothing of until we reached young adulthood, as no one ever spoke of it. It was a Hidden Thing, like Cancer. Perhaps this is my personal reason for All of Historys and Religions to be known.

    • As stated earlier you're drunk on CRT propaganda and a revised view of American History...

First, your view of America's history is liberal... a mix of narrowly crafted Marxists accounts of the exploitation of the third world, minorities, and labor.  You'd fit right in with Karl and his buddy Engles.

Next, you appear to ignore the natural affinity of individuals to congregate with others... of like language, ethnicity, racial, religious, and cultural ties. America's inner cities and concentrations of ethnicity and religious affiliation, unlike the Nazi ghettoes, were not forced upon the inhabitants at the point of a bayonet or the cries of a jackbooted thug. Harlem, NY was not and isn't a walled ghetto segregating the Black population by force of law.  It is the product of ethnic and racial affinity and free association.  American's have enjoyed decades of free association, unlike other world governments that use their power to force various groups to assimilate or segregate them under the threat of law. Individuals and communities in America are 'basically' free to choose where they live and with whom they associate.  That however is now changing with CRT and WOKE policy.

Ethnic Graveyards are not racist... Give me a break, graveyards are not government-mandated nor the product of malignant racism.  They are part of the natural affinity individuals have for one another.  It is not overtly racist to want to be laid to rest with individuals of like heritage, with family ties, and religious customs.  The families of the Dead often bury their lost loved ones in community graveyards. Places that respect and honor their dead in accord with their particular customs and religion.

Finally, the history of the world is a record of mankind's inhumanity for his own kind... However, the degrees of exploitation varies from nation to nation and culture to culture.  America is not perfect. but she has provided the greatest good for more people than any other nation in history.  American principles for self-government and free enterprise have generated more peace and prosperity for its diverse population than ever recorded in the annals of mankind.  America is that city, that light set upon a hill, which speaks to every nation, kindred and soul... “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”   Our Declaration of Independence uniquely established the historic principle that all men are created equal, before their Creator, and should be accorded equal access to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  It made kings of paupers, princes of slaves, and lifted the hopes of an oppressed world.

America's history is heads and shoulders above any other nations... with few exceptions, it has provided more liberty to its citizens, of all races and ethnicity, than any other nation before her and continues, to this day, to be a pioneer in individual liberty.  Let us all be thankful for being born in America,

  • Really Ron? That's not what I personally witnessed growing up in what you considered the "North!" Fifth Grade a very nice "Black" Family moved into the small city where our Grade School was located. The very next morning the Father was found castrated on the docks down by the Bay. Never found who did it and the Family was gone by Sundown." I've previously explained the experience with the Black Girl in Grade School. In the Lower Countries there was one Black Family th entire time of my growing up, and he ran the "Shoe Shine Shop." We had One Chinese Family in each of the Lower Counties that had Restaurants and no children. During WWII the Two SW Counties issued an Edict to All Non Whites, "You have 30 Days to leave or die." Growing up there was One Black Family, One Chinese Family and One Indian Family. Lots of graves and empty homes. Not until after the Mid Sixties did things and attitudes change. My Brother and I had a good friend, the Grandson of the Shoe Shine Folks came out from Chicago to live in 66. Our Mom's Parents also came out from Chicago to live with us about the same time. My Brother myself and our friends made sure nobody bothered our friend Chuck. One Summer Day we all decided to head up the river to swim and eat and invited the Grandparents along. Grandpa took one look at Chuck and said, " I ain't riding with no Nigger!" He didn't. He stayed home. He was one of those sophisticated Northern People. Racism and Bigotry isn't a location, its an attitude, as you most surely display.

    • Yeah really...

I was raised in California and a town with very few Blacks... I didn't know there was a significant social difference between the races until I was stationed n the South.

Your anecdotal accounts are hardly overwhelming proof of systemic racism... I am certain that if you looked around you could find accounts of Whitemen being castrated near you. Just how many examples of systemic racism can you site; growing up in a  town with ONLY ONE BLACK FAMILY.  You have drunk from the fountain of CRT.  You are exposing marked liberal underpinnings. Racism in a town with one black family?

Yeap, your accounts of racism... are certainly authoritative reasons to condemn the entire Northern hemisphere as racist.  Are you aware that Italians, the Irish, Jews, and a whole range of ethnic and racial groups have all experienced varying degrees of prejudice and racism, without becoming apoplectic over it?  Racial and ethnic prejudices are not uncommon in the world. Wherever one lives prejudice and racism exist and always will... it is the human condition.

Your liberal views on racism do not help when attempting to reconcile true incidents of racism...  Assigning GUILT for imaginary or exaggerated offenses is not productive. Dwelling on embellished accounts of racism doesn't help unity or the healing of real, systemic racial problems.  The long and short of it is that WE ALL experience certain levels of discrimination and prejudice in the world... we need to learn how to deal with them in ways that resolve the problem without using them as wedges to leverage political power.

Some individuals seem to relish racial conflict... they build entire political and social empires exploiting racism. Let's not be counted among them.  Where real prejudice raises its ugly head, we can deal with it using current social and legal remedies.  Dwelling on past historical abuses, which to a large degree, no longer exist as systemic or institutional problems, does nothing but infuriate and agitate racial tensions.

  • Colonel, Comparative Situations doesn't have to mean finite over lays. Nor is it necessary for inflammatory terms such as "Corrupt Apartheid Racist South", while simultaneously the Great Cities of the North had been Sectioned for generations by race and ethnicity. Dr. King's Marches were always for the most part free of violence on behalf of the demonstrators. The January March was free of violence for the majority of the participants. The comparison was valid though broad. Within these pages time and again discussions come about focused from demonstrating to dragging people from their " Positions." Until such time as "We" can cease One-Up Manship among ourselves, hope of "Actual Working Solutions", seems far away when the need is near. As a suggestion, Humor, Hope and Heroes always help weather any storm. Do you remember the history of RAF Sir Douglas Bader? A fine example very much needed today.

    Lynn Bryant DeSpain

    • There is no comparison between the Apartheid South and racial discrimination in Northern states... its cities or counties. Nowhere, in North did businesses have separate entrances for Blacks, separate dining area and drinking fountains, segregated schools, separate public restrooms, laws requiring Blacks to ride in th back of busses, or to move over for approaching whites, or to give up their seat to Whites on crowded public transport, and on and on.  The North had no systemic or institutional  'JIM CROWE' Law.  Apartheid and racial animus for Blacks did not exist in the North, not to the extent and depths that it did in the South.

I lived in the South as a young Lieutenant and was absolutely shocked... to observe the segregation and racist culture that existed at that time. In the mid 60 's I observed the horrible and deplorable cultural abuse of the Black population and rejected it in every way possible. I also know what is happening today, with reverse discrimination becoming systemic and institutionalized. Neither cultural advent should be tolerated in America, let alone promoted by the Federal Government.

Claims that such programs promote social justice are overstated today... Decades of social programs to provide social justice and amends for previous moral inequities between the races have reached their apex.  These social justice programs are becoming the enemy of social justice and the inequity between the races they once sought to right. Racial preferences today are unnecessary and are seen by most individuals as excesses in retribution... not social justice.

  • Not a supprise, and one of them murdered an unarmed woman named Ashli Babbitt.

  • It is interesting to note that the Marxist Mayor Bowser ...  swore in a new chief of police on the 2nd of January. Chief Contee III quickly turned a peaceful demonstration into a riot, ordering police to clear the streets, using a provocative and violent response to what had been a day of peaceful protest. It is interesting to note that he and Mayor Bowser rejected offers of federal help; choosing instead, to retain central control over the police response by using Metro and Congressional police.

Given Bowser's previous confrontational approach to conservative assemblies in DC... and her open support of terrorist groups like BLM and ANTIFA, one might conclude that her hate for anything MAGA and Trumpian would elicit a negative and provocative response by the DC Metro Police on January 6th.  It would be interesting to interview the former Chief of Police, Chief Lanier, to inquire as to why she left office immediately before the much-anticipated assembly on January 6th. She was suddenly and demonstratively, replaced on January 2d.  What did she know about the plans for riot control during the Trump rally on January 6th?

  • I bet they're planning  on starving/freezing  most of us to death this winter. It sure looks like they're setting us up for it. Communists always have to kill half the population when taking powe.
