"We found funding from nefarious sources. We have subjects identified."
This is huge.
The FBI has assigned teams to follow the money. And they are finding "nefarious" sources.
It's important to understand the FBI strategy:
On Sept. 25, 2025, after the assassination of @TPUSA
President Charlie Kirk, @POTUS
@RealDonaldTrump
issued "NSPM-7" -- or the National Security Presidential Memorandum, entitled "Countering Domestic Terrorism and Political Violence,""NSPM-7" directs the federal government to prioritize investigating domestic terrorism and political violence.
https://whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/09/countering-domestic-terrorism-and-organized-political-violence/…That changed the government's investigative posture.
On Dec. 4, 2025, the Justice Department followed with implementation guidance directing agencies to investigate "anti-fascist" actors with "extreme viewpoints on immigration, radical gender ideology, and anti-American sentiment," and, importantly, the financial infrastructure supporting them.
The directive also called for the investigation and prosecution of tax crimes in which "extremist groups are suspected of defrauding the Internal Revenue Service."
It's the Al Capone strategy.
Federal prosecutor Elliott Ness sent the notorious 20th century Chicago mobster to jail for TAX EVASION.
If you don't believe me that the stories are connected in history, pay attention to this detail: the communist ANSWER Coalition, which is supported by the network that pro-China communist tycoon Neville Roy Singham has funded, has as its Chicago address the Green Mill Restaurant -- a popular hangout spot for, yes, AL CAPONE, back in the day.
The focus expanded beyond the violence itself.
In January 2026, FBI Director Kash Patel promoted Raia from his post in the FBI's New York City office to be deputy director of the FBI after the departure of @DBongino
.By March 2026, the FBI created the Joint Mission Center.
Instead of keeping investigations in separate silos, the bureau brought together:
Counterterrorism
Counterintelligence
Cyber
Financial investigators
Treasury specialists
IRS investigatorsOne mission: follow the money.
The interagency partnership between
@TheJusticeDept
@DAGToddBlanche
@FBIDirectorKash@USTreasury
@SecScottBessent
@IRSnews
@StateDept
@SecRubio
@UnderSecPD
is so important.Raia told Fox News Digital the bureau has moved beyond simply responding to violent protests.
Investigators are now tracing how money allegedly flows through organizations and financial networks to support recurring violent protest activity.
That's why Raia emphasized this challenge:
"It does go through some very legitimate hoops, and it is commingled with very legitimate money as well."
Separating legitimate nonprofit activity from potentially criminal funding takes time.
The bureau says it has already:
Identified funding streams
Identified a portion of the actors
Begun building prosecutable criminal casesThe remaining work is developing cases capable of withstanding indictment and prosecution, like the alleged money laundering case against the Southern Povery Law Center.
