A federal judge denied former President Donald Trump's request for a preliminary injunction to keep the National Archives from handing over documents to the Jan. 6 House committee.
Judge Tanya Chutkan of the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., handed down the decision on Tuesday in the lawsuit brought last month by Trump against the House and National Archives in which he seeks to claim executive privilege over more than 700 records.
The ruling came hours after Chutkan shot down an emergency request Trump filed late Monday night seeking an "administrative stay."
