{ americantruthtoday.com } ~ China has again put its military in a “high state of alert” after two US Navy warships recently sailed through the Taiwan Strait...Late last week the US destroyer John McCain sailed near the disputed Paracel Islands administered and militarized by China, upon which the PLA military warned the US to “halt its provocations”. The latest incident was Wednesday, when the Arleigh Burke class guided-missile destroyer USS Barry passed through the strait. Washington was quick to emphasize that it was a “routine transit” like others toward the purpose of peaceful ‘freedom of navigation’ operations, while Beijing once again denounced the “trouble-stirring statements and moves”. State-backed Global Times said the USS Barry transit resulted in assets from China’s Eastern Theater Command being mobilized. It “organized naval and air forces and tracked and monitored the USS Barry destroyer for the entire course when the U.S. warship sailed through the Taiwan Straits on Wednesday,” according to GT. The PLA’s Senior Colonel Zhang Chunhui said: “We sternly urge the U.S. to stop making trouble-stirring statements and moves. The command forces are always on high alert in resolutely safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as peace and stability in the Taiwan Straits.” These latest tensions based on US presence in the contested sea lanes caused the PLA military to be put on alert. While this is nothing new Chinese President Xi Jinping’s language has grown more threatening in referencing talk of war. While touring a military base at Chaozhou City in the southern province of Guangdong Xi is reported to have told the elite troops to “maintain a state of high alert” and “put all their minds and energy on preparing for war”. This also comes at a moment of fresh reports the Trump administration has authorized three types of major weapons sales to Taiwan, which China has condemned as a violation of the long-standing ‘One China’ status quo. The intent of the communication is transparent. […] Another email — sent by Hunter Biden as part of an Aug. 2, 2017, chain — involved a deal he struck with the since-vanished chairman of CEFC, Ye Jianming, for half-ownership of a holding company that was expected to provide Biden with more than $10 million a year. Ye, who had ties to the Chinese military and intelligence service, hasn’t been seen since being taken into custody by Chinese authorities in early 2018, and CEFC went bankrupt earlier this year, according to reports. Hunter Biden wrote that Ye had sweetened the terms of an earlier, three-year consulting contract with CEFC that was to pay him $10 million annually “for introductions alone.”....
U.S. Military Reinforcing Position in Syria With New Bases, More Helicopters

{ americandefensenews.com } ~ As clashes with Russian forces raised the profile of the small U.S. military contingent in Syria, concerns have been raised about the robustness of U.S. forces to deal with Russian provocations and other threats...In response the U.S. has added a number of larger Bradley Fighting vehicles to the mix and increased its presence in other ways, including adding more helicopters, and bases. The Pentagon has reportedly begun construction of a new military base in the oil-rich Syrian Deir Ez-Zor governorate near the Syrian-Iraqi border. The Middle East Monitor reports that: Local sources said the new base will face sites controlled by Syrian regime forces on the western bank of the Euphrates River. The sources explained that the American army has started setting up a helipad to provide logistical supplies for the base. Earlier on Monday, the US army deployed fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the vicinity of the base for security. The new base will be the fourth in the governorate, and the ninth in eastern Syria. A report by the pro-Syrian regime and by extension, pro-Russian Al-Masdar News also noted that “US forces acting in concert with majority-Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia have reinforced their positions in the Ghweiran neighbourhood of Hasakah city, northeast Syria amid tensions with local residents.” Since recently facing recklessly aggressive Russian forces backed by attack helicopters, the U.S. has also added its own helicopters to support its military convoys and patrols. The Al-Masdar News report added that, “According to the reporter, at least six vehicles and trucks entered Hasakah from the south as US helicopters flew overhead. { foxnews.com } ~ C-SPAN announced Thursday it had suspended political editor Steve Scully indefinitely after he admitted he lied that his Twitter account was hacked after a message to former Trump aide-turned-adversary Anthony Scaramucci emerged...Scully, the "Washington Journal" host who was slated to moderate the now-canceled town hall debate between president Trump and scumbag drumbling lips liar-Joe Biden, went viral last week after a tweet sent from his account indicated he had reached out to the former White House communications director. Scully issued his first statement addressing the controversy to CNN following his suspension. "For several weeks, I was subjected to relentless criticism on social media and in conservative news outlets regarding my role as moderator for the second presidential debate, including attacks aimed directly at my family," Scully wrote. "This culminated on Thursday, October 8th when I heard President Trump go on national television twice and falsely attack me by name. Out of frustration, I sent a brief tweet addressed to Anthony Scaramucci. The next morning when I saw that this tweet had created a controversy, I falsely claimed that my Twitter account had been hacked." "These were both errors in judgment for which I am totally responsible. I apologize," Scully said. He continued, "These actions have let down a lot of people, including my colleagues at C-SPAN, where I have worked for the past 30 years, professional colleagues in the media, and the team at the Commission on Presidential Debates. I ask for their forgiveness as I try to move forward in a moment of reflection and disappointment in myself." C-SPAN also issued a statement, revealing that the network and the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) were made aware about Scully's fabrication on Wednesday. "We are very saddened by this news and do not condone his actions," C-SPAN said. "Starting immediately, we have placed Steve on administrative leave. After some distance from this episode, we believe in his ability to continue to contribute to C-SPAN." President Trump touted Scully's suspension on Twitter. "I was right again!" the president exclaimed. "Steve Scully just admitted he was lying about his Twitter being hacked. The Debate was Rigged! He was suspended from @cspan indefinitely. The Trump Campaign was not treated fairly by the 'Commission'. Did I show good instincts in being the first to know? "The Hill media reporter Joe Concha pondered if the CPD's decision to scrap the second debate so quickly had anything to do with Scully's false claim. "One thought on the Scully suspension after lying about getting hacked. The Presidential Debates Commission was very quick to cancel the second debate that would have watched by 70-75 million. No effort was made to find an alternative date. We call those people “smart folks.” Some of us, though, can’t help ourselves — even though we know the polling is agenda-driven and intended to help Democrats and leftists by demoralizing and thereby depressing the turnout of Republicans, conservatives, and libertarians. That’s the definition of pollaganda: polling meant to drive public opinion.
Take, for example, this latest knee-slapper from Newsweek, whose headline gleefully reads, “scumbag drumbling lips liar-Joe Biden Has 91 Percent Chance of Winning Electoral College, Latest Economist Forecast Predicts.” (Not 90%, but 91%. It’s scientific, after all.)
Strange, but we feel like we’ve seen this movie before. This electoral landslide-in-the-making all seems so familiar. Why, it’s as if we’ve seen this exact same 91% number somewhere before. Was it four years ago? And maybe just weeks before the election?
Son of a gun. The Trump-hating New York Times, in its October 18, 2016, Presidential Forecast, gave scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton that exact same super-scientific 91% chance of beating Donald Trump. And we all know how that turned out.
Mark Twain once said that there’s no lesson to be learned from the second kick of a mule. So we’re left to conclude that these leftist pollagandists are either unteachable or masochistic. Or both.
Anyway, there’s actually some more realistic polling out there, too, but we have to search for it. Because the mainstream media doesn’t want us to know that, according to a new Gallup poll, 56% of Americans say they’re better off than they were four years ago, while only 32% say they’re worse off. During a pandemic. And leftists certainly don’t want us to know that in 2012, when Barack scumbag/liar-nObama was running for reelection, only 45% felt better off. And in 2004, when George W. Bush was running for reelection, only 47% felt better off.
That same Gallup poll showed that 49% of registered voters agree with President Trump on the issues, while only 46% agree with Biden’s handlers.
In a poll published earlier this month, Gallup also asked Americans whom they think will win on November 3. Answer: 56% expect Trump to win, while only 40% think scumbag drumbling lips liar-Biden will win. This might have something to do with the massive enthusiasm gap — a 20-point advantage according to Pew Research — that President Trump enjoys over his listless, uninspiring, and cognitively declining opponent. (Students of history will note that the candidate holding the edge in enthusiasm has won the past eight presidential elections.) President Trump has regained his footing from COVID, too, and he’s back on the campaign trail drawing huge crowds. scumbag drumbling lips liar-Joe Biden? Not so much. There’s plenty of historically interesting data here, with one metric after another pointing to a Trump victory. Did you know, for example, that since 1820 we’ve had 11 pandemics during presidential election years, and that the incumbent’s record during those instances is 11-0?
But somehow, some way, The Economist and the rest of their Trump-hating leftist ilk want us to believe scumbag drumbling lips liar-Biden’s got this baby in the bag.
