Activism is more than showing up to make speeches... or to raise monies for the next election. Try organizing and resourcing protests and rallies that support SPECIFIC legislation, Amendments, and or regulatory reforms that actually reform government.
Flowery speeches sound good but do little to advance real change... IN FACT, THEY ARE HARMFUL TO LIGITIMATE EFFORTS FOR CHANGE as they divert attention away from the real work to mandate change... making it appear that persuasive action is moving Congress to address real reform... not happening.
The Congress has been what? " working really hard the last couple of months." ..." Really? Maybe you need to work smarter, not harder.
Just what the 'H' do you call work... runaway spending, funding foreign wars, holding hearings to confirm we have become a lawless nation... or is it the advancement of the open border policy... maybe it's ignoring the growing homeless population plaguing our major cities, or the failing public school system that will add more poverty and homeless to the streets in America.
Oh, I know the hard work Congress has accomplished ... it's the PHONY RHETORIC OF FAILED POLICY... useless hype that goes nowhere. Telling us it takes activism to forge change, while Congress smugly sits on their posterior, applauding one another's speeches. How about taking to the streets in their districts in a coordinated effort to demand specific changes (Legislation and Amendments)... Instead, you and the GOP leadership choose to ignore the message the conservative patriot is sending. Get off your butts and find solutions.... or resign to make room for those who can.
Good political leadership Organizes, and RESOURCES ... activism that works... Political activism is not rooted in 'speech therapy' (disengenuous rhetoric). Instead, it focuses on and engages the core power of the people... their labor, and willingness to pay taxes ( to fund the government and move the economy). LABOR and TAX STRIKES ARE THE PATH TO REAL POLITICAL REFORM! The big lie is that voter turnout on election day will reform the government... voting on election day. That lie will not carry water any longer. We have turned out in mass for decades only to be told NEXT ELECTION WILL BE DIFFERENT...
The problem is not voting or the people's willingness to become political activists. The problem is failed leadership... leadership that thinks speeches and showing up for work is enough... it isn't. Presently, our leadership is unwilling to address other lawful and peaceful means to address political reform... Namely, labor strikes, tax boycotts, and passive-aggressive protests and petitions. Increased turnout for elections historically has not worked. There is a serious problem when those counting the vote are mathematically AND IDEOLOGICALLY challenged, making them unable to achieve a fair count of the votes cast.
Political parties are organized to find political solutions not to placate, obfuscate, or otherwise betray their constituents. My advice for the GOP is to get off your asses and hit the streets... Organize, resource, and fund protests for specific legislation and amendments that can not be ignored... Demand real legislative reforms, and do not compromise. Be prepared to shut down the government and the economy... Our national heritage and security demand it... The question becomes is the GOP capable or willing to lead such a task? I think not.
