The real reason Curtis Sliwa won’t step aside and form a coalition with Eric Adams isn’t just about ego.
It’s because Republican consultants like Rob Cole only cash in once every four years during the mayoral race. When that window opens, they go all in, desperate to secure big checks and live large. People like Cole will tell Curtis whatever he wants to hear to keep the money flowing and the illusion alive.
What most everyday New Yorkers don’t see is how the political machine really works behind closed doors. It’s not about public service. It’s about consultants lining their own pockets. They don’t care about the city’s future, they don’t care about voters, and they certainly don’t care about the financial strain these doomed campaigns place on the system. For them, it’s all about profit.
Over the next few months, you’ll watch millions of dollars raised and burned on a race that a Republican simply cannot win. Just look at the numbers; Curtis got 28% in 2021. Now ask yourself, like you’re explaining it to a toddler: how can anyone seriously believe he stands a chance in 2025, when the city has only moved further to the left?
Listen to me when I say, it’s either form an Adams coalition or bust… consultants are the problem here and it’s time we call it out!
Before you come out and attack me, understand this: I know all these players and will be teaching you guys all about them in the coming days, it’s time people know their names and what they are all about!
