Gypsies Causing Havoc Across NYC: Elderly New Yorkers Targeted in Brazen Scam Operations.
According to multiple sources, Midtown Manhattan—and New York City as a whole—has been hit by roaming "Gypsy" scam crews carrying out a variety of schemes, including fake gold jewelry scams and cash confusion scams that can leave victims out hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
According to sources, these crews are highly organized and operate through a large network across the United States. They are described as highly mobile and transient, traveling from state to state and moving on when law enforcement pressure increases or an area becomes too hot.
Sources also allege that some individuals involved in these scam operations may have entered the country illegally, including through the northern border, and then moved throughout the United States to continue targeting victims.
Many of these scams reportedly focus on elderly victims, preying on people who have worked their entire lives and simply want to enjoy their retirement in peace.
