Halloween Night Bloodbath in Deep Ellum Four people are dead and at least five more are wounded after three separate shootings broke out within minutes of each other in Dallas' Deep Ellum district right after midnight on November 1, 2026. Dallas police got the first shooting call at 12:19 AM Central in the 2600 block of Elm Street. Police say three people were killed on Commerce Street and one was killed on Elm Street. Officers shut down the entire neighborhood around 1 AM while victims were still arriving at hospitals. Police say one suspect is in custody, but they have not released a name, a charge, or which shooting that person is tied to. The other shooters have not been publicly identified. Dallas police are asking anyone with information to come forward. This is not the first time. About six months ago, another Deep Ellum shooting left a security officer dead and five others hurt. The crowds keep coming for the bars and the nightlife, and the gunfire keeps coming with them. Four families woke up to the worst news of their lives on November 1. This is not the Deep Ellum I used to know. What happened?
