Where is Speaker Johnson... probably measuring his office for new carpet and scouting the local market for bulletproof privacy drapes. Instead, he should be drafting and executing hundreds of Contempt of Congress warrants to be served by the Sargent at Arms of the House. Jail the greater offenders (Myorkus, Wray, Garland, etc... Let those detained sit in jail while the Courts address the Speaker's Jurisdiction to order their arrest..
Without a government budget in place... the speaker appears to be negotiating a surrender with the Democrats (between vacations and remodeling his office)... or another short-term Continuing Resolution... with the dubious promise that IF and When Trump is President he can do better... using that bit of horse shit to explain why he isn't busy forcing votes on key issues using the leverage of the purse and HIS OFFICE... by tying appropriations to conservative policy.

The Magicians 'sleight-of-hand" is to make the audience believe there are two sides. There is only one, the Uniparty. Payoffs, Threats, they work. Each "good one" gets their position in the (boxing) ring to pretend they stand for something. Put on the show for the clowns watching. I am sure that most members of Congress have their own opinion about the classic see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil Monkeys. They probably view the parable of the three wise monkeys as mere decorations sitting on a wooden plaque.
