They should also extend it to law schools, Law schools added remedial writing, called "Writing Skills Workshop." Touro Law Center instituted mandatory writing workshops in the early 2010's. Many now have it. This is NOT the Legal Research and Writing (LRW) course that teaches how to draft legal briefs, etc. Not the same.

American literacy, ranked worldwide, began dropping in 2012-2013 and guess what? It accelerated during and after Convid. The statistic that Americans now read at a 6th Grade level, comes from the US Dept of Ed and the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. Approximately 45 million America adults are considered 'functionally illiterate.'

What happens when people are illiterate? And cannot read? Who becomes their news source? Easy to manipulate.
