  • This isn't going far enough. They are only cutting Medicaid but leave Medicare and social security unchanged. All these entitlements need to be cut radically because they make up a large chunk of the budget. You can't cut enough by just cutting the bureaucracy unless you take it down by more than half, which should also be done especially if we want to implement tax cuts for corporations and people who create jobs.

    • Would you like social security cut? Please explain!

  • The House CAVES on Pres. Trump's demand for massive reductions to spending... Johnson fails to come close to the 1Trillion Presidential Target for reduction in spending... Speaker Johnson uses promise to pass an extension of Trump's Tax Cut as a pathetic cover for signing on to the runaway spending and pork in House Bill...

It is time to expose RINOs and to challenge Speaker Johnson's seat as Speaker... time to SHUT THE GOVERNMENT DOWN and terminate all the non-essential workers... Time, to push through the extension to the Trump tax cuts and too demand at least a 15% across-the-board cut to all but Defense and deportation expenses....

  • It is time to shut down the government... and remove Speaker Johnson... His pathetic effort to negotiate an appropriations bill, with real cuts, is embarrassing... It demonstrates why Johnson is not what the Nation needs as Speaker.

Why not offer a 15% across-the-board cut to federal funding... except for defense, and funds to deport illegal aliens.  Include an amendment to pass an extension for the Trump Tax Cuts.

Or, let the government shut down...  then lay-off all the non-essential civil service before reopening... We can no longer afford to fund non-essential civil service positions; while paying for critical social services or deporting illegal aliens.

  • I guess that's a good thing.....that they were able to get it done

    • No, they simply kicked the can on our financial crisis down the road... the House Bill is woefully inadequate and is unlikely to pass Senate muster without futher compromise.  It fails to address the critical budget elements driving us into bankruptcy... social welfare programs, fraud, waste, and abuse (Porkulous) remain in it.
