Teach history. Teach morality. Teach and demand respect for others. We had "court" in grade school. We could be ticketed for rudeness, incessent talking, or other. Someone was Judge. The Teacher was the 'Monitor' or whatever, I don't remember. It was overall a very good thing, we got to see some degree of repercussions for bad behaviour. Some were still brats, but overall, it was a good thing and behaving according to stated standards was taught and learned. So, someone has to state and demand the standards be followed. Fairness and equity WAS taught. Anyone who continued to be a jerk received parental notification....
