Robert O’Neill, the U.S. Navy SEAL credited with killing Osama Bin Laden, has come out in opposition to riots following the death of a black man, George Floyd, in Minneapolis police custody on May 25.

Demonstrations have spread in the days following Floyd’s death, including increasingly destructive and violent demonstrations. As the demonstrations worsened, O’Neill criticized the movement in a series of tweets.

 

O’Neill said in a May 30 tweet, “Un. Believable. I cannot believe I fought to defend you.”

  • SO RIGHT.  I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT WE THE PEOPLE LET GOVERNORS DICTATE HOW WE LIVE.  SHUT OUR BUSINESSES AND STOP US FROM LIVING.  I DO NOT BLAME HIM FOR BEING MAD SO AM I AS ARE MANY.
