They completely disregard that our country belongs to their Moms and Dads, their Aunts and Uncles, their children , their nieces and nephews. They never consulted any of those folks before selling away part of the nation as they enriched themselves. Nor have they realized that they are "on board" as they drive OUR SHIP OF STATE into the abyss of Hell.. Our nation has been blessed with abundant resources... the problems associated with their management and use are too often driven by greed, among some of the largest Corporations wanting access to them. Often their objective is not the rational development of the nation's resources and commercial markets... it's windfall profit.
Today, commercial interests often find it easier and more convenient to manipulate the nation's markets for unearned profit. It is easier for them to, create MANAGED MARKETS, to manipulate commercial, environmental, and the many market variables to maximize short-term profit. Often no interest is shown in the need to add long-term stability to the economy and marketplace while exploiting new found resources. Instead, one must Maximize their QUARTERLY BONUS, regardless of the long-term impact on labor and the consumer.
Modern monopolies and commercial trusts find it more convenient to leverage their power and profit through favorable legislation... rather, than the 'old-fashioned way'... the creation and marketing of superior goods and services. The government's interference in our markets and economy is too often used to provide privileged corporations with a market advantage. This often creates windfalls, an artificial increase in their return on investment... and a FACIST system of economic exploitation...
Congress should examine the nation's monopoly and anti-trust laws to ensure our markets and economy are the product of free trade and entrepreneurial effort ... not the manipulation and exploitation of commercial and government interests.
