If the FBI is gearing up for more arrests of ordinary Americans who were at the Capitol in January, then it might be wise to consider the possibility and prepare for it. Part of the shock of the arrests of nearly 1,000 Americans who simply attended a rally was the assumption that because they did nothing wrong, they would not be the ones getting that knock on the door. The same for those arrested for protesting at an abortion clinic. Protests happen often and were applauded in the summer of 2020, but not if you wear a Trump hat, or believe in the Bill of Rights, especially the 2nd amendment, or speak up at a school board meeting to protect the innocence of your children from what passes for comprehensive sex education. It seems the Left is outraged all the time, and it does not help that our President went on national tv to declare us all to be white supremacists and a danger to democracy, even though we are the ones speaking out against the real dangers to our democracy. Even though we who supported President Trump come in all races, colors, and cultures. I never heard of a fight at a Trump rally before January 6th, and we still hope that Congress will eventually do what they can to get more truth and facts out to counter the heavily slanted narratives about that day.
So much as I hope things will turn around, they really might get much worse before then. Already too many people still languish in jail and you can hear about their stories at https://www.patriotfreedomproject.com/ and show your support, Another good source is https://stophate.com/. It reminds me of Foxes Book of Martyrs, in that there is suffering we may not want to know about, but it can help us to prepare, because we really might be next. Pretending it can't happen is no longer good for us. It is happening.
Let's keep praying and contacting legislators, etc., but it might also be good to have that conversation with your family. What if the FBI came knocking at your door? Most had no warning and very few minutes to respond or have their door destroyed. I think that contributed to the trauma. People were completely unprepared. They had no attorney on speed dial. The shock to the system is part of the strategy. Putting people in solitary confinement for days is part of the strategy to make people willing to sign anything,
Andrew Brunson was a missionary for 23 years before he was in a Turkish prison, and he said that he thought he was prepared, but solitary confinement was really hard on him. He has a website Wavestarters.org that he hopes will help people better prepare for persecution even in America. It seems to me like the persecution has begun here, and with the passage of the most recent bill, the twisting of language is only going to get worse.
My pastor pointed out tonight that Jesus was preparing His disciples for his arrest and crucifixion by the things He talked about during the Last Supper, which is covered in detail in the Gospel of John chs 13 to 17. He knew He would be arrested within 24 hours, so this was His last chance to tell them what they needed to know. So this might be a good preparation for us as well. Jesus promised peace that passes all understanding, the Holy Spirit's presence and help, and even the fullness of joy, in spite of what was coming. John 14:1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me." John 15:18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you." John 16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
It's kind of like preparing for a tornado. If you know what to do and you have prepared your children, maybe it will make things easier to weather and get through it to the other side.

I never approved of the actions of Jan. 6 storming the Capitol Building was completely wrong, But the question now DOES THE PUNISHMENT FIT THE CRIME?
Those that stormed the CAPITOL BUILDING NEVER GAVE MUCH THOUGHT OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR ACTIONS. While its true that a very large portion of the American people in particular consevatives believe their voices are not being heard and perhaps their votes no longer matter, The problem we have with elections must be decided in the courts NOT THROUGH VIOLENCE. OR THREATS. We must ensure that our JUDICIAL SYSTEM works for each and every citizens political affiliation aside, We must demand from those serving in public office that they. follow the law of the land no matter what their personal feelings are. We have as citizens given way too much authority to those that are supposed to be serving us allowing them to ignore the CONSTITUTION and BILL OF RIGHTS and the law of the land. We have aJUDICIAL SYSTEM especially at the Federal level that is no longer able to function in a way that is fair and honest. We are more divided now than we have ever been and tha lack of leadership obvious. We cant hang all the failures on political parties both parties can share in the obvious lack of leadership. We as citizens have to wake up be aware of what is happening in our country be aware of whom and what we are voting for when we cast our votes for political candidates. We cant stand on the sidelines any longer and expect those that we elect to be concerned about the country anylonger a very large portion of our elected officials no longer care about serving us or the country they have become self serving and its time for WE THE PEOPLE TO WAKE UP AND SEND THEM HOME.
Freddie, I don't condone violence, but as we learn more about that day, it was much more complicated than the main stream media or the J6 commission have presented. Epochtv.com has a documentary with more info, and Tucket Carlson did a documentary as well. We now know there were instigators whom the FBI has not arrested and has not given any explanation, leading some in congress to wonder if they were officers. The FBI has not denied it. Ray Epps is one. We know that some people changed into and out of Trump gear, supporting the idea that Antifa members were there for the purpose of causing trouble. One young man took some of the videos and sold them showing the death of Ashli Babbit. He has been involved in BLM and Antifa protests and was not a supporter of Trump but there for the purpose of causing trouble. That's one side of it. Another is that the Capital police on one side were shooting flash grenades and tear gas into the crowd and beating the people, adding the chaos instead of arresting anyone. These are all on these videos that were not presented by the J6 Committee, nor did they explain how the doors were opened from the inside to allow people to enter the Capitol. Most of the people entered as if they were on a tour. This was not an insurrection of Trump supporters. There were no weapons, and most of the people merely trespassed. Others involved in the struggle with the police should be fairly judged, but these judges are not allowing the evidence for the defense, the charges are outrageous, and the wait times for trial for some have been a year or more, with many in solitary confinement. These are being used as punishments and means of coercion to try to get them to admit to false charges to use against President Trump. I know of at least 2 people who pled guilty to false charges to be able to get on with their lives, and they still had to go prison. One walked inside and read a speech. The other never went inside but took a video outside. And those 2 had the means to hire good attorneys. The ones languishing in jails don't.
