‘The View’ host: Republican Party isn’t ‘in line with American values’
On Tuesday, ABC’s "The View" co-host Tara Setmayer blamed the Uvalde school shooting on a "rise in violent Christian nationalism."
"It’s part of the Christian nationalism, this rise in violent Christian nationalism, that we have seen, which is also disturbing. They use biblical principles, they pervert them to justify this," Setmayer said.
"Particularly in Texas, this is a growing movement," she continued."It’s God, guns and Trump". Or God, guns and whatever. It’s a part of their ethos."
Setmayer, who serves as a senior advisor for the anti-Republican group the Lincoln Project, was filling in as the guest host in the lone conservative spot on the show.
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg added on to Setmayer's point, appearing to blame Christians for slavery and racism.
"It’s always been this. This was the way it was down south. They used to use the Bible and say you’re not people, God doesn’t see you as people, so we don’t see you as people," Goldberg said.

"I don’t care NRA. You got to give that gun up. You can have your other ‘ye-ha guns’, whatever you want. The AR-15 is not a hunting gun. It is not a gun where you are going to go out and shoot your dinner," Goldberg said. "This gun is meant to kill people. That’s what it’s for. And you can’t have it anymore."
The conversation was sparked when co-host Sunny Hostin criticized Daniel Defense, a gun manufacturer, for a since deleted tweet that featured a child holding an unloaded gun with a biblical verse attached.
The View’s comments reflect a pattern by some in the media to label Christianity as a vehicle for violence and white supremacy. Last month, TIME published an article titled "It’s Time to Stop Giving Christianity a Pass on White Supremacy and Violence."
Similarly, a LA Times columnist slammed Christians who turned to faith in response to the Uvalde shooting, accusing them of supporting a "return to the kind of faith that allowed brutal enslavement to be the law of the land for centuries."
President Biden has faced criticism for repeating a false and debunked narrative that the 2nd Amendment did not allow people to own cannons at the time of the United States’ founding.

God is not a respecter of persons... He is a respecter of faith. He judges the intent of the heart, not merely the spoken word of man... What is a mute to do? He is unable to speak God's name in any tongue. What is the Biblically ignorant and uneducated to do, if they only know God by His local and common name... Is not the intent of one's SPIRIT more important than the LETTER of the law? Is not the SPIRIT more powerful than the letter?
We must be cautious when interpreting and applying God's Word... In all things, we must remember God is full of GRACE AND MERCY. His mercies are renewed daily, with the rising of the sun. We see dimly now, but when we are face to face with the Lord ALL THINGS will become clear and the use of His Name and language will become clear. Until then let the Grace of God and His Mercy be with you and yours. Remember God loves us and would that NONE SHOULD PERISH but that all should come to the knowledge of the Truth in Christ.
Pray for the weak in faith that they may not suffer loss due to their ignorance... instead be ready and willing to lift your brother in the faith... restoring him with the washing of the Word that he may also prove that which is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God. We are all of one faith, one baptism, and one Lord... therefore let our yeahs and amens be as one in the Body of Christ. That every need may be met in the riches and glory of His abundance... For the comely members can not say to the weaker depart ... I need ye not... as every member is necessary for the fulness of the Body to function properly.

To defeat your enemy one must first demonize and dehumanize them...paint them as criminals and treasonous members of society deserving of being purged. It's time to stop giving a pass to MSM anchors and producers for their anit-American treasonous conduct... time to hold them criminally accountable for inciting riot, insurrection, and treason. Any student of the scriptures knows where the world is heading... and it isn't the America of our forefathers... it is delusional to ignore the Biblical signs of the time... it is irresponsible to act as if the world is not on its last leg in a journey to a fiery end. Our duty as Christians is to inform the wicked of their error so that they may repent. We don't do that by promising better days are around the corner... they ARE NOT.
It is easy to promise better days are just over the horizon... it is not so easy to share the Revelation of St. John and its end-time worldview. In fact, it is very difficult, unpopular, and often met with ridicule and anger. The Old Testament Prophets understood just how difficult it is to stand before the people and prophecy their destruction... it is no different today.
