The People and President Trump were betrayed by the several states and Congress... the State's failed to rein in election fraud, and when it was exposed they elected to ignore it... The Constitution allows states to choose their electors, as they see fit... either by appointment or popular vote. However, it is the state legislature, not the people who choose how the Electors are selected and HOW THEY VOTE... Their vote is a State Legislature and Electors prerogative.
We may not like what happened... however, the Constitution provides for several checks and balances when such acts occur. The State's hold the keys to the Kingdom, in other words, we need to focus on why the State Governors, Legislature, Secretary of State, and others failed in their duty to defend our votes from fraud? It is also important that we understand the mechanism by which the President and VP are elected and the POPULAR VOTE IS NOT THE WAY THEY ARE ELECTED. They are elected by the STATE LEGISLATURE thru a statutory system that provides for State Electors to be sent to Congress on January 6th of the year following an election to cast THEIR VOTE... not the people's vote... for President and VP.
Our system of Representative Government puts the States in charge as the primary sovereigns... however that system has been turned on its head... as the states have abdicated their duty as soverign to their creation. The Federal Government is the creation of the States and the Chief Executive of the federal government is the state's servant... elected by the Electors of the several State's Legislatures. Presidents are in effect elected by the states. This is or was once an important check on federal power and together with the original system of selecting US Senators by the State Governor or Legislature, the Constitution clearly put the Federal Government in the hands of the State... not the other way around.
If we want to return to our forefather's system we must repeal the 17th Amendment and restore state legislatures with the sole power to appoint US Senators, and Presidential Electors.... not the popular vote. A popular vote is too easily subverted, defrauded, and twisted by men... keeping the election of our President under the direct control of State Legislatures makes the President a servant of the State... and the State, when properly supervised by local voters ... will bring the Federal Government to heel. What we have now is the democratic election of a President. Democracies never work, as they rapidly succumb to the mob... Those with the loudest voice and nothing to lose; those willing to resort to violence and fraud to get their way end up ruling in a Democracy.
Our founding fathers warned against becoming a democracy... they elected to establish America as a Constitutional Republic... knowing that representative government with built-in checks and balances provided the very best of Democratic and republican forms of government. They intended the States to be the key sovereigns with the federal government being the servant of the State... a federal body which would act only where the mutual interests of the states were present and needful to the joint venture. Ignorance of our system of government and the resulting misdirection of our anger is food for failure. We must understand that local government... the State's are key in the failure of our system to work as our forefathers intended. Federal Government must be restrained by STATE LEADERS the people alone can not affect the needed reforms.

A little more history on our constitution, the republic, soverignty and the union.
The records of the Constitutional Convention and the Federalist Papers... are fraught with rancorous debate over the forming a federal system of government. Many in the Constitutional Convention questioned the need for a more powerful Union to be administered by a federal system of government. The Colonies already had a working CONFEDERACY under the Articles of Confederacy; albeit, a very cumbersome and problematic system needing reforms. The 13 Colonies called for the Constitutional Convention to reform the Articles of Confederacy but after many long hours decided to create an entirely new charter for the Union... the US Constitution... which created a Constitutional Republic, administered by a Federal System of government, as defined and limited by the US Constitution.
The Federalist system of government is not soverign... their powers are granted to them by the Constitution in covenant with the several soverign States. It is the States who are soverign and have the power to reign in the federal government. The Federal Government is the administrator of the Union and is to serve at the pleasure of the Union's members, not the other way around. The States provide the Federal Government with the power to administer the Federal System of Government.
The States are the sovereign and they need to start acting like it... It took 245 years to slowly erode the core principle of the Union and its federal system of government; too, SUBJUGATE the States as the servants of a rogue central government. However, the seeds for our recovery remain alive in our Constitution... if the STATES WILL SOW THEM... we can yet reap a harvest of liberty and prosperity for our Children and Grandchildren.
It's possible and very likely that fraud is ignoed by the states for fear of retribution by the corrupt feds, so absent the 17th amendment retribution by feds may still be possible even on the legislature
If the States control the US Senate... by right of appointing or electing those who become US Senators it can check any radical moves to penalize the States. Further, the Electoral College provides the States with the tools to ensure that the President is sensitive to a State's soverignty and the 9th and 10th Amendment rights of the State and its citizens.
In addition to repealing the 17th, wouldn't we need a Constitutional amendment to dis-allow states from throwing their votes to the winner of the popular vote? How would we ever get that passed with the lack of knowledge and morality in this nation?
My next question is. What and when is the process of choosing the state Electors? How did it get to be the political parties choosing them instead of the state that chooses them?
In general, Congress sets the time for choosing electors and establishes the dates for elections and the casting of Elector's votes by constitutional authority and congressional statute. The States select Electors based on their statutory law. They supervise and regulate the conduct of state and federal elections within their states. They establish voter registration rules and election law by state statute.
Morals are the duty of the family to teach and the Church to regulate... if we want a government that reflects the moral compass of our forefather's we must invite God back into our living rooms and state houses of government. Public education must reform to permit Judeo-Christian ethics and prayer to be part of the curriculum and educational experience.
What is really bad Ron that is I learned more from reading your article then I learned in Junior High school civics class , which was 6 months long. Thanks.
