The Bureau of Justice finds immigrants are:

-illegals are 300% more likely to be commit a crime than citizens or legal immigrants.
-64% of all federal arrests (73K prox. for 291K charges)
-25% of all the US property crime arrests
-24% of all the US drug and human trafficking arrests.

-Illicit drugs are flowing into the country at an alarming rate, with only 5% to 10% percent being intercepted as border officials struggle to contain the smuggling.

-1,778 pounds of deadly fentanyl and 4,983 pounds of methamphetamine were seized at the southern border in January alone, with much more getting through.

 

Many illegal criminal immigrants are continually re-arrested. There are convicted criminals who have been deported but many just come back to commit more crimes. It's a revolving door, costly in many ways.  Some counties even prohibit law enforcement from questioning or detaining an illegal alien unless the officials directly witness criminal activity. That process is a magnet inviting criminals to return. 

Illegals who are convicted in US courts and sent to prison now constitute nearly a 3rd of total prison population, costing US taxpayers billions of dollars a year(1).  As the USA today reported: “Deporting illegal…is far more complicated… The result: With no place to put thousands of captured illegals… the Border Patrol has been releasing them after giving them written orders to appear at deportation hearing… Immigration officials acknowledge the exercise is futile: About 86% of those issued such notices never show up for the court hearings.”  In fact armed Mexican soldiers have being used to protect illegal Mexican aliens as they cross the border.  When confrontations occur, Border Patrol agents were told to keep quiet about it.

Mexican drug cartels have headquarters throughout the United States and are one of the country’s greatest criminal, national security and public health threats, according to a veteran Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) senior agent.
“The Mexican cartels have left a trail of blood using intimidation and terrorist acts of ruthless violence…The cartels engage in beheadings, car bombings, dissolving humans in acid, mass murders, torture, bombings and political assassinations. Their actions are consistent with the behaviors of traditional terrorists and they have infiltrated the highest levels of the Mexican government with bribes and corruption. Mexican drug cartels have utilized techniques which focus on mind manipulation and behavioral modification commonly utilized by organizations such as Al-Qaeda.” said Derek S. Maltz, a narco-terror expert who helped establish the Counter Narco-Terrorism Operations Center (CNTOC). CNTOC has busted many bigtime narco-terrorism operations, including a money laundering scheme that supported the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah

George Kelling and James Q. Wilson Broken Windows theory of crime seems an appropriate analogy here. It states that rampant crime is the inevitable result of disorder. Low-level crimes send unmistakable signals that if left unchecked invite further chaos and escalate into more serious law-breaking. This theory predicted that by demonstrating a clear and consistent commitment to enforcing the law, we would create a safe environment in a free and open society. Crime statistics have proved it correct. Subsidizing, accepting or ignoring illegal immigration is in effect allowing the type of crime that invites more serious law-breaking.

It would be a mistake to conclude that immigrant crime is insignificant or that offenders’ immigration status is irrelevant in local policing. Newer national crime information available as a result of better screening of the incarcerated population suggests that, in many parts of the country, immigrants are responsible for a significant share of crime. This indicates that there are legitimate public safety reasons for local law enforcement agencies to determine the immigration status of offenders and to work with federal immigration authorities

Government ceases to be legitimate if its principal responsibility is not to its citizen. Government therefore is obligated to qualify immigration to contribute to the well-being of its civil society. If that is not so  then that says that illegal immigration has equal or more value than the citizen, which is nonsensical. Therefore, what is left to ask except have the governed given their consent to illegal immigrants?

1. In Arizona, the state tracked the native or illegal status of criminals as they were jailed. Researcher John Lott used the data to show that illegals committed more than twice as much crime per person as similar-aged native-born Americans, and that legal immigrants have a low crime rate.  The category Lott used, “non-US citizen, deportable,” only includes illegal immigrants. Lott followed the guidance given on how to separate these groups out by the Arizona County Attorneys’ Association, particularly Bill Montgomery, who represented the association and is the DA for Maricopa County, which has about 60% of Arizona’s population. He told us that a pre-sentencing report is used to determine citizenship. Common sense would show that young male migrants from some of the most violent countries on Earth should be viewed as more violent than Americans. However, liberal fact checker rizzo, of the Washington post, says it ain’t so— even though Rizzo is improperly conflating crimes by illegals and legals, hiding many non-violent crimes committed by illegals, dodging Lott’s data, and issuing a fatwa on common sense. Why is rizzo trying to do all of this under the supposed authority of the Washington post “Fact Checker”?
