On the third anniversary of the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack perpetrated by Hamas against Israel, my team and I have opened investigations into the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and National Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) to determine whether these organizations constitute affiliates of a foreign terrorist organization under Indiana law. We are asking the organizations to produce documents and communications about the activities in which they engaged in the wake of the October 7 Attack, including actions in which the organizations may have engaged to foment anti-Israel and antisemitic sentiment in the United States. We are taking this action using new authority created by legislation that our office helped draft with State Rep. Matt Commons and State Sen. Chris Garten, and that the Indiana General Assembly passed last legislative session. As attorney general, I will follow the evidence and take all action I can to expose bigots and make clear that terrorist supporters are not welcome in the great Hoosier state. Read more here:

“October 7th is Israel’s 9/11,” Rokita told me. “As attorney general, I am investigating organizations that may have given aid and support to Hamas in the wake of the October 7 attack.”
🧵2/11Rokita sent a Civil Investigative Demand to CAIR, demanding docs about Nihad Awad's Nov. 24, 2023 speech saying he was "happy" to see "the people of Gaza" break "the siege," and claiming that Gaza, not Israel, has "the right to self-defense."
🧵3/11Awad claimed his remarks had been spliced together to create a false meaning. He said he was citing international law in stating that "occupied people have the right to defend themselves and escape occupation by just and legal means," & he condemned the Hamas attacks.
🧵4/11Rokita demanded all documents related to the speech and CAIR's internal communications about the Oct. 7 attack.
🧵5/11Rokita also demanded a list of all instances in which Awad met with members or agents of the Muslim Brotherhood or any other entity described by the U.S. as a foreign terrorist group.
This document does not prove CAIR had any such meetings.
🧵6/11The demand quotes a "Letter from the Editors" stating that the student movement "has upheld the core demand of the Palestinian people: the dismantlement of the Zionist entity and the liberation of Palestine—from the river to the sea."
🧵8/11"The coming months will certainly usher in an era of escalating crisis in the belly of the beast," the letter added. It was signed "Editorial Board-National Students for Justice in Palestine." Rokita is demanding the names of the authors.
🧵9/11Rokita is demanding SJP explain its relationship with Samidoun and the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path movement.

Why aren't 50 states doing this.....they are a national security risk.....all of the Muslims. We have American born Muslims who are pledging allegiance to Islam and terrorist groups, and running for political positions, this is unacceptable in America!
