  • Perhaps structuring scout camps to simulate conditions our forefathers endured for part of a summer and also connecting that up with classes in literature which described those past periods might be a way to combine different institutions to strengthen the youtth of a society.  This would require etensive cooperation  But right now before something like that could be established we are faced with would be destroyers who hate America and are working to destroy Her.  What we have begun to discuss here will require a persistent, bold effort and our collaboration.  We need to recruit thousands.  Ego, personal gain and prominence must take a back seat to restoring the USA....................Who an i to think such thoughts?-----Ohh, i know------ A Mere Mortal like you ! ! !

    • RIGHT MIKE:  We have to Regard it as a Duty--------When one believes in GOD, that is,  Because CHRISTIANS DO NOT Ignore HIS WORD.  Which gives me pause here to wonder------WHO DREAMED UP SEPARATION OF CHURCH and STATE ?  And did HE Intend for us to have hundreds of denominations---So we could Argue over "WHO Is RIGHT- an IMAM, A PRIEST or a MINISTER---?-! !  Man sure has invented enough grounds for in fighting ! ! ! ! ------  M.E.G.O.

    • Richard, we were founded as a Judeo-Christian nation, and we were given great blessings by God.   I do not think that we should have decided to allow ourselves to be diluted by other religions.  We are now being overcome by people that do not believe in God and we are losing our country.   I understand the reason why the forefathers decided to protect freedom of religion, but I think that it was not in the best interest of the country.

    • Richard, Michael, and others—
The New England Primer was the textbook in our founding era. It taught from grade 1, by teaching phrases/grammar and pronounciation and  morality. through teaching who Jesus Christ is. The 4th Grade Primer taught the Sermon on the Mount. This is from when we used to raise up kids in the way they should go. That, indeed, is the question—WHO dreamed up Separation of Church and State, because that did not come from our founders and framers, not at all. Our first colleges were all Bible Colleges, even Harvard.

From Wallbuilders:  "Description (Brief)The New England Primer was the first reading primer designed in the American colonies. It is considered one of the most successful textbooks of the 18th century and continued with improved editions into the 19th century. Alphabet verses teaching morality lessons concerning good and evil comprise much of the book. Many of the teachings can be found from the King James Bible as well as Puritan ideals. Secular alphabet passages came later. The New England Primer also contained a catechism with questions and answers about faith and prayers. First published by Benjamin Harris in 1686 in Boston, the book was found in many homes along with the Bible. Modeled after British primers that had been created to educate the illiterate during the Reformation, this primer was nicknamed "The Little Bible of New England" and was used in early colonial schools such as Boston Latin School. Versions varied locally with the selection of lessons, and publisher and bookseller advertisements were included in many."

      The New England Primer (B11)

$8.99The New England Primer was the first textbook ever printed in America and was used to teach reading and Bible lessons in our schools until the twentieth century. In fact, many of the Founding Fathers and their children learned to read from The New England Primer. This pocket-size edition is an historical reprint of the 1777 version used in many schools during the Founding Era.

This version uses the Old English alphabet, exactly as it was printed, and the letter “s” is sometimes represented by an “s” and other times by what appears to be an “f.” If you would like a simplified version, the Contemporary New England Primer (also available through our store) has been standardized to the single modern “s.” A great resource for homeschoolers or for use in any classroom.
