The very old hyper-stoked embers for gun control just werent rallying to the cause, being dampened by the recent SCOTUS affirmations of the Second Amendment prohibition against gun control.

This one is a tailored, made-to order (and likely has been) event in one state that the whole Country is conditioned to fixate on, with flags at half-mast, as if it bears National emphisis.

He did not pigeon-hole into any of the cherished protected groups, and was asserted to under-score why most individuals cannot be trusted to undertake their own lives, liberties and pursuits of happiness. They could run amok! The remedial redress of the courts after the fact is not good enough for these pre-emptors of criminality. They want anti-social acts prevented before they happen, no matter how many civil rights, freedoms, and liberties must be state-denied.
But here is a news flash. NO ONE ever was or is guarranteed a life. The World is and will continue to be a violent place. If you will not take care for yourself but rather depend on others to do so, why would anyone else, except perhaps as a property interest for your owner?
The Democrats (and even some Republicans) are always looking for easy fixes. The problem is those easy fixes don't fix anything. I doubt if they ever asked themselves, why are people with records or history of violent mental problems allowed to get run; how come gangs and other criminals get guns so easily. Those are questions that need to be answered but there is no "easy" fix to them.
They better pay more attention to the APPROXIAMATELY 10 to 15 + DIVISIONS of MILITARY AGE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS that belong to GANGS, MILITARY/INTELLIGENCE PERSONNEL, LONE WOLFS, SABOTAGE EXPERTS, CHEMIST, EXPLOSIVE EXPERTS, BIO EXPERTS, COMPUTER EXPERTS, DRUG CARTELS that are coming across the Southern Border and the list goes on. We have these IDIOTS (DEMS/LIBS) that are more worried about INANIMATE OBJECTS (GUNS), THEIR SELF INTEREST, instead of the DAMN INDIVIDUAL that COMMITS THE CRIME then our COUNTRIES BORDERS.
