...Not only are they potential witnesses or targets, but continued involvement could be viewed as relevant to alleged further violations. Such allegations can range from efforts to conceal, obstruct, or influence witnesses. The ethical and legal considerations heavily militate in favor of removal from further involvement in my opinion.
