Something SHADY is happening at City Hall‼️

We do NOT support the LA28 Olympics Contract that the City Council will vote on tomorrow as written.

🔎 It fails to provide transparency
💰 It is not fiscally responsible
❌ It limits the City’s ability to hold LA28 accountable 

The people of LA were promised a “Zero-Cost” Games.

That means ALL EXCESS CITY SERVICES provided to the Olympics should be REIMBURSED, and no $ should go to a “Legacy Entity” until the City is made whole.

Now it’s Council’s responsibility to protect our City & YOUR TAX DOLLARS. 

Since LA TAXPAYERS ARE ON THE HOOK if the Olympic Games lose money / go over budget, LA28 must be transparent about how they’re spending YOUR TAX DOLLARS BEFORE it’s too late to do anything about it.

The City Charter empowers my Office to fight for taxpayers & YOUR TAX DOLLARS. 

I will ALWAYS use the full extent of my Charter authority–an authority no contract can negotiate away–to track City $ and bring transparency and accountability.

*LA28 = Organization organizing the Olympic Games

*Contract = Enhanced City Resources Master Agreement (“ECRMA”)
