  The US Constitution provides the Federal Government with the duty to... "PROVIDE FOR THE COMMON DEFENSE" ... it is one of the primary reasons for our colonial forefathers to create a federal system of Government... they deemed it wise to consolidate their 'defense' issues under the central government... the federal government, with citizen control of the military and the Congress being required to dispatch the military in defense of the nation.
  
  Certainly, the Constitution intended that its citizens would have the Constitutional right to defend themselves against personal criminal acts... and rouge government. Hence, the 2nd Amendment. However, it was never intended that every State or individual be abandoned to their own defense when attacked by foreign nations or rebel forces if presented as a threat. The several States intended that their combined militias would be needed to defend the Union against massive attacks by foreign powers or internal insurrection of noteable size.

McConnell is an ass... he should be pushing for major reforms in the DOJ and FBI... the FBI could not do this without the upper levels of the DOJ and the White House knowing... period. There needs to be a standing bureau in the White House to pursue DEEP STATE CRIMES... too, permit the President to take proper care that the laws of the US are followed by everyone... especially law enforcement. We can't have law enforcement investigating law enforcement... we need a bureau of US Marshalls or FBI agents assigned directly to the PResident to provide him with the tools to go after crime in the DOJ, FBI, CIA, NSA, NIS, in any of the departments, bureaus, and offices of the Administration.
