Letter to Congress and to Media Editors Codifying the Department of Government Efficiency DOGE;
To the Honorable Members of Congress and Fellow Americans,
I write to you today with an urgent and vital appeal: it is time to permanently enshrine the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) into federal law. This initiative represents a commonsense, bipartisan opportunity to finally bring real transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility to our federal government.
For too long, American taxpayers have watched billions of dollars vanish into bureaucratic black holes. Waste, fraud, and abuse have become hallmarks of a bloated system that answers to no one. Yes, we have Inspector Generals, but the hard truth is this: if they were enough, we wouldn’t be in this position. Clearly, oversight as it stands is not working.
The DOGE initiative changes that. It is a targeted, focused audit mechanism designed to expose inefficiency, eliminate redundancy, and ensure every tax dollar is treated with the respect and diligence hard-working Americans deserve. But unless Congress acts, this vital reform remains vulnerable—subject to the whims of future administrations who might prefer to bury inefficiency rather than confront it.
We must act now. Codifying DOGE through legislation and placing it on the President’s desk ensures that this effort to clean up Washington becomes permanent. It is a step toward restoring faith in government and proving that we are serious about stewarding public resources.
This is not about politics. This is about principle. Whether Democrat or Republican, every elected official should be able to stand behind a simple idea: the government must be efficient, accountable, and transparent.
Let’s do what should have been done decades ago. Pass legislation to make the Department of Government Efficiency the law of the land—and give President Trump the opportunity to sign into law one of the most important reforms in modern American history.

Correction: Inspectors General is the correct formatting, just like Attorneys General.
They really don't want an eye on themselves, DOGE is an interruption in their money making machine!
