Public Records show Maricopa County Moves to Permanently Delete Senior Staff Emails from 2020 & 2022 Elections, Defying Potential DOJ @CivilRights Investigations 😤

@RecordersOffice @azjustinheap sent a letter to Maricopa County Manager Pokorski identifying the pending actions by the head of their Elections IT department violate Arizona law and County policy, requesting they preserve the records🧐

This blatant disregard for transparency reeks of an attempt to bury election irregularities—especially suspect timing as DOJ and Trump Administration officials signal fresh probes into 2020 concerns and beyond.

1/ County officials have taken control of archived email records from previous Recorders, including critical senior staff communications related to the contentious 2020 and 2022 elections.

They're now denying access to the current Maricopa County Recorder—raising serious questions about what they're trying to conceal. 🕵️‍♂️🔒

The head of Maricopa County's Election IT Team, Nate Young, gruffly attacked the Recorder's staff, saying:

🔸"Your boss just sent us a rediculous formal letter"

(Exact spelling used.)

2/ The county's IT department asserts these records hold "no historical value" 🤯and intends to destroy them permanently, despite ongoing public records requests that remain unfulfilled.

This directly contravenes Arizona state law—it's not just negligence; it's a deliberate evasion of accountability. 🧐

3/ While the @RecordersOffice CIO tells Maricopa County that their records retention policy is:

Recorders Office Policy --> Maricopa County Policy --> AZ State Library, Archives and Public Records

Maricopa County's ETI, Nate Young, seems to insist that he reigns supreme over the Recorder🤡

Do Bureaucrats run the Maricopa County asylum instead of the people elected by the will of the people, state law, and potentially Federal officials?🍌🍌🍌🍌

4/ Such reckless actions only fuel suspicions of wrongdoing. The people demand full transparency and justice. ⚖️

President Trump has stated many times he wants @CivilRights to investigate the 2020 election and beyond, which puts Maricopa County front and center into these investigations

This is especially concerning, considering the shenanigans @AbrahamHamadeh and @KariLake faced in 2022, where tens of thousands of voters (likely more) were disenfranchised from previously known maladministration glitches! 

5/ Clearly @ThomasGalvin @DebbieLesko @KateBrophyMcGee previous promises for transparency on election administration were just 💄on a 🐷

How can anyone take their $400k "audit" seriously if their IT staff are deleting records before the work even begins?
