My heart is heavy.
Last night in McKinney, Texas, the City Council voted 7-0 to approve a new Islamic center right in the middle of a neighborhood after hours of passionate public comment.
Neighbors stood up and spoke about traffic, safety, and the very real concerns about Sharia and political Islam taking root in our Texas communities.
Rep. Keith Self tried to warn them.
Everyday citizens tried to warn them.
And still, it passed.
This isn’t about hating people. It’s about protecting the foundation this country was built on. We already have a Constitution. We already have one law of the land. We don’t need a parallel system that treats women, children, and non-believers differently. History has shown us what happens when we look the other way.
