(There is a lot to unpack w/ this recorded call today)
The school allowed students to walkout & protest ICE on school grounds. What they did not predict were counter students that supported ICE and deporting foreigners.

We received tips n leads that a rift has widened between the students, staff, and families. Allowing protests on school grounds creates an ideological divide.
The PRO ICE students did not ask for permission from the school and walked out to confront the ANTI ICE students, but this was stopped by staff.
Students are now discussing having a properly organized PRO ICE protest - (I called as one of the dads representing a student). The district admits they are now in a pickle, because they opened pandora's box and did not expect oppositional students.
*We've been told that in other locations like Bath, Topsham, and Brunswick that similar conflict is occurring after sanctioning protests for one ideological side - forcing students to become even further divide.
